We recently ordered a tiered cake for 80 people for a baby shower. The cake was a strawberry cream cake along with some chocolate cup cakes and was a complex design with balloons and teddy bears and cradle. The cake was delivered on time, was delicious and the design perfectly executed. The family at Aunt Audrey’s is courteous, professional and talented. Would highly recommend them.

This bakery far exceeded my expectations! The cake was beautiful and looks even better then the photo I sent in to be replicated and added their own beautiful touches with the white candy balls and the light dusting of sparkles that just glimmers in the light!! I got lots of compliments how beautiful the cake was and that it tasted nice and moist and flavourful. Prices are very reasonable and affordable, the best prices in Durham if you ask me, and get a very quality beauful cake. Many asked me where I got the cake as they would like to order from here In the future as well. I was happy to give the referrals and will keep giving this place referrals.I actually wish I ordered here when I got married for wedding cake. But now I know for the future where I will be ordering with many celebrations to come!Thank you aunt audries cake for a beautiful delicious cake!!!!UPDATE : ordered my son 1st birthday cake and yet again another job well done. My husband went to pick up the cake and said the gentlemen who dresses up the cake" was really pleasant and good people there. And of course lots of compliments on 5he cake once again!"

I went into the store last minute looking for a small one month celebration cake not knowing we had to order in advance.Still, the staff and owner helped us decide the best way to go forward and did an incredible job decorating the cupcakes to make it look like a small cake.We were in awe after looking at what we had ordered.Definitely going to go back to them for all of our orders.

*Long Review*On March 28th, 2023 I contacted Aunt Audrey’s and requested a 9” red velvet cake for my child’s birthday party which would be held on the 7th. He informed me that I would have to pick up the cake on the 6th due to the 7ths being a holiday. We discussed themes of the cake, he requested me to send pictures of the theme in question, so I sent pictures and I called them to ensure they had received the email with pictures, which they had. The 6th comes and I go with my daughter, her best friend to pick up the cake only to find that it’s not made. The individual tells me that he had attempted to contact me on the 31st regarding the cake, so I go through all of my calls and sure enough I did miss the call. I didn’t get a message though because it was not translatable and the only message from that day sounded like background chatter in a loud, windy environment. So we agreed that it was a complete error in communication, which was fine.I said to my daughter and her friend that we would have to go to Metro to pick out a ready made cake. Kurt turns and asks when I need the cake for, I tell him, “tomorrow” and he stated that they could make a pull-apart red velvet cake for us and stated that he would call when it was ready to be picked up. Then he had my daughter pick out an image that she wanted on the pull-apart cake. The 7th came and I waited until 10:15ish and I decided to call, there was no answer so I texted the number he had originally called me from. I called again about 45 min later and left a vm that was maybe worried sounding and left it at that. Roughly two hours later I received a call and was told that another employee had texted me late evening on the 6th however I had no text message and I even contacted my mobile service provider (tech support) to ensure that I hadn’t received any texts from the numbers in question.We then went and picked up what was supposed to be our pull-apart cake and took it to the party only to learn that it wasn’t red velvet, it was coloured red but tasted like cherry. Had I been informed that they didn’t have red velvet or couldn’t make red velvet I would have gladly accepted vanilla or just chocolate. Unfortunately no one really appreciated the fake cherry flavour and the remainder of the cake went into the garbage.I give him credit for coming in on his day off for us, but due to the incredibly confusing level of communication/lack thereof and trying to pass off Cherry flavoured cake as red velvet I will no longer be purchasing custom cakes from here.

Aunt Aundrey's did absolutely beautiful work on my daughters wedding cake and cupcakes. The cake turned out more beautiful than what we had invisioned . The sponge was so moist that the texture resembled a soft cloudlike delicacy. The icing was delicate and not overly sweet which only enhanced the already perfect baked goods. All the guests were complimenting the beauty of the cake/cupcakes and were inquiring where it was from. I am sure Aunt Audrey's will be receiving many more orders given how well received it was. I am so incredibly thankful to Kurt the baker and Jenna the lovely assistant for helping to capture and create a beautiful wedding day for my daughter. Excellence all around!

Thank you Aunt Audrey’s for the most beautiful and delicious cake for my daughters baby shower. First time ordering from this bakery and they by far exceeded my expectations. They colour matched the frosting and flower perfectly, the frosting was of course perfectly sweet but light and the chocolate cake inside light, fluffy and perfect. Very helpful and friendly staff who took my order. 5++++ stars here!

Their ability to create custom cakes is nothing short of perfection. They work with you down to the finest detail and their prices are very reasonable. The cakes are always soft and moist and I would definitely recommend them. Thank you Kurt and team.

Ordered a chocolate gluten free cake and it was delicious! Moist and perfect amount of icing. Our son loved the design and they were so helpful and easy to work with.

We always order cakes from this bakery for every occasion. We love their staff who are very friendly, amazing at dealing with clients and very accommodating regarding our ideas of cake. We are so happy we found them :)
