FAT Paint Studio

I love all the Fat Paints, glazes & waxes. They are my #1 go to for painting or refinishing projects!!! I highly recommend. I would also recommend purchasing from their line of Cling On brushes-they are a perfect partnership with the Fat product lines

I am so impressed with the paint but more impressed with the owner. She walked us through the studio and we also recieved a tutorial on how to use the paint. There is plenty of inspiration at the shop.

Purchased Skyline grey FAT paint and clear coat to refinish a lift top coffee table. I was given very clear and easy to follow instructions and purchased an affordable and super fantastic brush to use with it. Painted my coffee table and went crazy in love with the paint from there! Painted my wooden step stool, some baskets and my plastic plant pots on my covered deck! Such dense color and smooth coverage! I'm finding it very hard waring and easier to work with and a better, more modern finish than regular chalk paint! I'm addicted. The brush is amazing and so easy to clean and reuse. I've used it for many projects now as it holds a ton of paint and does not leave stiff bristle marks.

I have done a lot of painting, so I am familiar with what makes a good paint. This paint is quite a bit more expensive than others, but it promised better adhesion, more consistent and deeper colour, better finish etc. It did not deliver on anything that it promises. The adhesion, both on sanded and primered surfaces, was the same or worse than the cheapest department/hardware store paints. The colour consistency is very poor, with mottling even after two good coats. And the colour darkens a lot from wet to dry. The finish is very cheap looking and not durable at all. I can pull it off with a fingernail. Buy a high range department/hardware store paint for a much better finish at 1/3 to 1/2 the price.

I am in love with FAT Paint! This is a paint that is easy to use and the colors are amazing! Great one to use if you want to achieve a distressed or shabby chic look and this is a Canadian product. Bonus! The FAT Paint Company is a little BIG success story and a company to watch and support. Their recent partnership with Amanda Forrest, a prominent Canadian interior designer, speaks loudly to the confidence that others have in them and their products. There are many retailers and new ones being added all the time! Shops WANT to carry and sell this product...it sells itself. Try it...you will love it!

Absolutely FAT-tastic!! We're inFATuated with FAT Painting everything since we found FAT Paint!!! Love the coverage and the colours but what really sold me was the fact that the wax! It goes on like butter and buffs up without the sweat of other ones I've tried. I especially love that we're supporting a local cottage" business and was even more endeared to the owners once I heard their success story of having to start over again following a fire early in their start-up process. The price point is a winner

Started off great by being greeted by the sweetest doggo. Then they had a great selection of chalk paint At excellent prices. I especially liked the wooden sample sticks so I could really see what the colors looked like. They knew their product and had great advice. Great customer service.
