Saturday, June 17, 2023The waitress was excellent at this location. However, the manager was another story. DOWN RIGHT RUDE. We ordered steak sandwiches medium well but not burnt. When the food came out they were pretty charred. The manager came to the table. When we said the steaks were a little black she said that maybe we should’ve ordered something else other than steak. You’re a steakhouse.. steakhouse should know how to cook steak. Not even an apology.

The restaurant was full and we were directed to the lounge. The only tables left were with high stools and, for mobility reasons, the members of our party were not very comfortable. But we'd been driving for a few hours and were tired and didn't have the energy to find another restaurant. Thankfully the hostess moved us to a lower table just as soon as one was available. We hadn't even asked, they just knew it was the right thing to do. We very much appreciated this gesture, it made all the difference to the experience. Also good to note that the lounge didn't have music playing at a level that made it difficult to hear each other and even just be comfortable. I wish more restaurant lounges were like this. The all encompassing single stall washrooms are fantastic!

I've had some great times here. The staff are vigilant in wearing their masks and very friendly. After sitting at the bar once, the next time I came in just over a week later the bartender and manager remembered me and came over just to talk.On top of that, I've never had a bad meal here. All their food had been top notch and comes out promptly.Lastly, their cocktails are well made, anything from an old fashioned to a millionaire to a fishbowl drink, it's all good!Great for a date, hanging with Friends, or just because life sucks and you want a drink.

I've been here numerous times. The owner Stan is anyways friendly and will put a smile on your face. The food has always been great! I would have given a full 5 stars but we have had some waitresses/waiters that weren't very good. More often than not they have been great! Would recommend 1000%

Such amazing staff and excellent food! Driving through Portage la Prairie on our way home and decided to eat at Mr. Mike's. We came in for an early supper so it wasn't too busy. We waited a little longer than hoped for when getting the bill, but still excellent service.

The Portage la Prairie Mr. Mike's Steakhouse is in my opinion the hands down best of them in Manitoba. I have enjoyed my favorite beef dip sandwich meal in all three locations and find thatthe Portage location is top of the list" !Service and food together combine to provide a first class place to enjoy a great meal..!"

Stopped here for a quick lunch on my way through Portage. Food and service was outstanding. the burger I had was cooked to perfection, and was not overly seasoned. The beef was so good, as was the bun. The fries were crisp and hot!Outstanding service by Kelly. She was quick, efficient, personable and made you feel valued as a customer.

Great place to go for a nice dinner. Great alternative to Boston Pizza for a nice sit down meal. Food was very good and had lots of flavor. Portion sizes were very good and the server was very friendly and courteous. Will definitely be back in the future.

Wasn't what I expected. For 17$... Plain mikes burger and fries. The meat patty was grey... Oily and looked steamed. With a slice of cheese and pickle. The bun is the best part. I couldn't finish it. It was not sitting well. How do places like this get away with charging this much for terrible food. It doesn't deserve a 1... But not a 2.... The waitress was very good. Can't complain. But overall food..... What is this restaurant world coming to???
