A couple of weeks ago I went to the Running Room DIX30 knowing very well that I needed a new pair of shoes. My last few pairs of shoes had been Asics, but I had decided to see what the sales consultant would recommend.I was advised by the manager, I believe her name was Melanie.I really felt like I was talking to someone who knew their products and was able to vulgarize the technical jargon and clearly explain why she was making specific recommendations. All this while training new employees. Needless to say I was impressed.For the first time in my many years of buying shoes, I was told that I have a wide foot and I should be looking for brands wider than Asics. She followed up by having me try a pair of New Balance shoes. They felt like I was putting on a pair of slippers I had owned for years, albeit they were a little tight.Noticing right away that they were a bit tight for me, she immediately recommended the wider model. Unfortunately, they did not have them in stock. However, she offered to have it shipped to my house. Before confirming the sale, she proceeded to very clearly explain the return/exchange policies so that I understood how to try the shoes at home and not run in to any issues if I chose to return or exchange them.Overall, probably one of the greatest shoe shopping experiences I have had.

I went in with very little expectation and only the intention to browse and walked out with a pair of shoes and confidence in my purchase.I was served by the manager, Melanie, who in spite of the rush of people in the understaffed store made me feel like a priority. I am super fussy with my feet and Melanie took the time to educate me and reassure me. Yes, they are only shoes and I might sound a bit dramatic about my nuanced approach to footwear shopping, but to know that a footwear specialist is not going to let me leave without knowledge and confidence means a lot.I'm converted now and will be trusting her to set my shoe myths aside and get as much shoe enjoyment for my money as possible.Thanks Melanie.

Excellent attentive and knowledgeable staff. I was alone in the store when I arrived and all three jumped in to serve me. They did not have my size in stock (no points deducted, I have small, stubby feet and can rarely find shoes that fit) but they found ones a size or two larger for me to try so that I could at least get an idea of how they feel. They did not have the one I chose in inventory at any of their other stores so they recommended that I buy them direct from the manufacturer, checked that they were in stock, and gave me a detailed description on paper so that I could find them at home. They sacrificed a sale in order to better serve me. I intend to pay them back in recommendations. Whether you are seriously into sports or just casual exercise, this is a good shop to visit for shoes and related merchandise.

Excellent service from a very knowledgeable young salesman. He was very patient and thorough. Also, all the staff were diligent in enforcing Covid-19 safety guidelines. Will shop here again.

Very helpful staff

I got in the store after waiting patiently outside as per current COVID regulations. After walking in and being asked what I was looking for, I stated that I was looking for soft glove-like minimalist shoes.The manager rudely told me that if that's what I was looking for, to just take my shoes off and run barefoot and proceeded to correct me on my use of the term.I run between 600 and 700k per summer, and will never buy a pair of shoes there again.Funny how you can easily Google minimalist shoes and find models with that term in the name but a store that is self proclaimed experts in the field had no idea what I was talking about...

Recently bought a pair of Soucany Canyons from them, service was rapid and friendly. I remember the manger being from Manitoba and being very helpful. Thanks great pair of shoes.

I did not enjoy my shopping experience. I'm an experienced runner with a good Idea of my needs. I felt rushed and the sales person did most of the talking and very little listening. I won't be returning to the running room.

Went there to buy running shoes, i enter gently and the staff yelled at me to stay outside and wait. I replyed and say hello and i left. They could have shown respect, say Hi, and say please wait outside. I will never go there again.

I went there to shop for a pair of comfortable slides for a relative to send outside of the country, the employee or manager (not sure) Melanie, welcomed me and did her best to help me and took much of her time and effort to ensure I get the right size especially that I am sending it abroad as a gift, great first experience.Thank you Melanie and happy Holidays!
