Ladies be warned not the place for girls ever.Constant comments about my breast and my poor little girls. I have let them down. Don't you do that.if I could I would never give this place a star but it wouldn't let me post without. If any one considers this message me on fb I'll fill you in.

Sensei Michael is a excellent teacher who cares deeply about the well being of his students, unlike most Japanese Sensei ' s Micheal does not hold anything back and teaches his students the moves that others keep secret. The biggest difference I've noticed at humble dojo is Sensei Michaels attention to detail and the higher standard he has for teaching the way O'Sensei wanted Aikido to be taught.

Humble dojo is the 4th dojo I have been to in Alberta. The Sensei is very highly ranked and of course knows the Japanese culture because he is Japanese. He has a wonderful Facebook page where he quotes O Sensei and or explains a technique we are doing for the next class. He is adamant about teaching the philosophy of the art and will often quiz us during class to make sure we read the latest post. This shows he really care about your learning and gives a level of understanding I haven't seen elsewhere. For example did you know the entire Japanese police and special forces implement aikido as mandatory parts of there training? As for his technique its real and meant for practical street fighting scenarios. You will learn how to high break fall, defend knife attacks, defend kicks and punches, gun disarmament, hand cuffing (for the police and security officers in our class). Many of our students use this in there job so they are very passionate and knowledgable. This makes the students great to be around. If you want to experience true aikido, practically and philisophically you have found the right place.

Humble Dojo
I have been practicing at this dojo for about nine months and in that time I have learned things that I have not learned at other dojos. Sensei teaches Aikido in a practical way and emphasizes the importance of getting the techniques right. He teaches in a challenging and engaging manner by demonstrating a series of techniques brought together to form a whole. While this is difficult it is also dynamic and very rich. Excellent teaching and a great band of students.
