Nanaimo River Regional Park
Stroller friendly. Dogs are not required to be on a leash here, so be aware if you have aggressive dog. The water is beautiful, the trail is well groomed. Lots of great scenery

Great part of the river! Around June/July there is nice calm shallow water for kids to enjoy and also some deeper swim holes! :) the water around 4:00pm was PERFECT temperature and the sun was shining for a nice warm dry off! The trails are easy for a good walk or Jog! Lovely nature; Huge tadpoles leaping to the water, crayfish and huge ant hills that will make any age fall inlove with this park!Side note: Careless people could clean up their trash abit more but for the most part it is fairly clean!

Nanaimo River Regional Park
Beautiful spot. Deep enough to swim in some parts. Can spot crayfish, tadpoles, variety of fish, plenty of cool rocks. Bank is eroding in some parts. Possibly from children repeatedly jumping off it into the water. There is a sign so just be careful.

Always a treat! We walk our old dog here often. Love when we meet other dogwalkers. The river and the trail are different every season.

Nanaimo River Regional Park
We love this walk! It's mostly flat, so easily accessible. You can either walk part, or all, of the trail. It isn't a committed loop.

Nanaimo River Regional Park
Beautiful place for a swim, especially in early September as all of the kids are back in school, so it's nice and quiet and peaceful, but the water is still warm.

Nanaimo River Regional Park
Good walking path along the river. Shaded in the trees, wide and relatively flat. Lots of places to go for a dip in the river too. Would definitely recommend.
