This is the best run tennis club in the city. For at least the past ten years, it is sold out before opening day. The key to the success of this club is the tag board. Everyone is rated by the club pro. You can show up at any time during the summer and get a doubles hit with players at the same rating. Lots of time for singles players too...oh...and tennis balls are replaced about every two hours I believe. The club is fortunate to have many volunteers that keep things running smoothly. The executive committee does an excellent job running all the programming such as ladders, house league, tournaments, social tennis, inter county nights, group lessons, private lessons as well as socials and BBQ.Most of the members live in close proximity to the Davisville and Leaside area. Mostly a friendly bunch, you will enjoy lively debates while sitting waiting for your next hit.The driving force behind the club is the tremendous leadership of President Stuart Teather, now in his fifteenth year of service who has really made the club the wonderful place it is today. If you are not yet a member, get your name on the 2020 wait list now!

A nice place to play a game with a friend or practice on your own. Some parking and seating available in the area too.

Great tennis club. I really like the old school tag system, which makes it easier to hit with a player of the same level. Really good community feel. I felt welcomed since I started playing here. I recommend it to anyone who loves the sport, whether you are a beginner or a pro.

We tried the kids summer camp. They tell you that the kids play games during breaks from tennis, but in reality they put on the tv in the clubhouse. By the second day my daughter had watched more tv at a three hour tennis camp than she would be allowed in a week at home. While my 6-year-old improved a lot in her first week, they really aren't set up to take young kids for more than a week. The second week was a repetition of the first and left my child bored, in tears and saying she doesn't want to play until she is old enough to be in the older group so that she can learn something new.Expressing these concerns led to the head pro calling us high maintenance.

A special Thank You to head pro BrianAhlberg at Davisville Tennis Club for hisfor his outstanding coaching andprofessionalism. My family lovesplaying a good game of tennis... Sadly,as much as I've tried, I could not getthat ball going and often ended up sitting on the park bench watching the fun. One frustrating day, I sat observing Brian teach a group of kids motivating and carefully instructing how to approach a ball. Everyone was having fun learning the drill. At that moment, I decided to take a lesson. Brian’s expertise, patience andpersistence allowed me to gainconfidence and skills necessary to playa game. If something wasn't working,he continued to demonstrate andalways found another drill to get memoving correctly. Eventually, I wasmotivated to join his many camps andclinics... It's been an amazing season, and shall continue to practice all I’ve learned. In my opinion, you can't find a betterPro…you're awesome Brian!Rochelle

I've been a member for 18 years. It's super social and there are players at every level. Once you get rated by the club pro, you can join in at your level. Get yourself on the wait list now!

Fantastic courts, surface was great, clean and highly free of debris and slip hazards(a severe hazard (in risk of injury) during redirections and planting to strike in tennis). Many other courts have lots of debris, unfortunately seemingly much outside their control. Including one with overhead tree branches and squirrels dropping nuts hitting my head during points.I did visit Davisville once and had an issue with no lights and early termination, though recently that has been no issue.
