OK Tire

My SUV broke down on Saturday in port Hardy. The customer service here was so amazing. The staff was very helpful and reassuring. They got the repairs done asap so I could get my vehicle home today. (The parts had to come in from out of town so it did take a few days). They only fixed what needed to be and the bill was smaller than the original quote.Being a woman and having so many shops in the past take advantage of a bad situation. I really appreciate their honesty and helpfulness. I would strongly recommend this shop to anyone in the area if you need help in port Hardy. Again thank you so much from out of town.

The owner was very rude . We were travelling from Vancouver .We got flat tire while travelling to Port Hardy and we got here to this shop to fix it . At first , the owner was very rude , aggressive and unhelpful . He did not even try to understand our situation but upon pleading , he helped us in borrowing certain tools . He made us wait a long time just to fix the tire but we planned to do it ourself by his borrowed tools . While we were fixing , he was smiling back at us and making degrivise comments . However other workers inside were very helpful and supportive .We would never recommend this place for any emergency car issues for travellers visiting from far places . See other nice people nearby.02/05 because of owner’s behaviour and his judgements !!

I had been going to OK Tire in Port Hardy for almost 2 years. They had seemed quite reasonable, fair and nice.This April (2023) however, they left me completely in a lurch. They wasted 3 weeks of my time without even the courtesy of an explanation or justification. Their actions, & lack thereof , were entirely unprofessional and inconsiderate.I brought my car in on April 4th, by appointment,  with a coolant leak.I already knew where the leak was and had a temporary patch on the corroded hose.They looked at the car and told me they would be in touch with me in a couple of days once they got the information they needed from Mitsubishi.A couple of days went by and I didn't hear from them. A week went by, still nothing.After a week and a half I called them to see what was going on.They told me they were still dealing with Mitsubishi trying to identify the correct part and that they would call me in a day or two.That was the last time I heard from them.I have no idea why my business was no longer of any value to them. I do not appreciate having my time wasted. Nor do I appreciate being treated in such an unprofessional and inconsiderate manner.I went to Allmac Repair in Port McNeill. They looked at my car WITHOUT appointment.It took them 1 DAY to confirm with Mitsubishi what part was needed. 4 days later the part arrived and in 2 hours they had me all fixed up and ready to go.I would not recommend OK Tire in Port Hardy to ANYONE!

When you shred an odd sized tire beyond belief, you become thankful for people like this. They had a good used tire in stock, mounted it quickly and charged a very reasonable price for everything. Nice manager, nice working staff and very glad to have met them.

Took us right in after having a flat and resolved the issue. Excellent service and even made sure tire lug nuts where torqued down to spec. Will be back!

Really poor treatment by the owner, not so welcoming and didn’t even try to understand the situation. We had come to fix a flat tire while we are on a road trip to Port Hardy from Vancouver. Explained the situation to owner, he made some snap judgements and asked to wait 3 hours before he could even see. Other workers were helpful and let us borrow two tools and due to their help we fixed the flat tire ourselves.Not Recommended, due to poor behaviour by the owner. However the workers were nice and helpful. 2/5 only due to helpful workers!

They repaired our flat tire in less than an hour and got us back on the road in time to catch the tide for our Cape Scott adventure. Thank you for the excellent service! Tricia at the desk was very kind and helpful.

My buddy had a 3 flat tires, managed to borrow 3 sparesfrom various campers and limped the truck here on a long weekend leaving a note, we showed up after the long weekend and the truck was done! Everyone is so relieved, great service and great people! Highly recommend!!
