Knights On Guard Security

I live in a condo that contracts this company for security services. It’s sad because at one point around 2019 I found the security supervisor (Rawlins) and team to be extremely professional. Since then the level of professionalism and basic understanding of security functions has severely declined. Some staff onsite are still great but the few that lack an understanding of how to do their job is highly concerning. A neighbour suffered thousands in property damage because the girl working in the afternoons didn’t understand that a flood is an emergency, and failed to call 911 as well as refused to notify the owners of the vacant unit for HOURS. The same staff member has been implicated in numerous security breaches (along with at least one other), and somehow she still works at our residence. Over and above the lack of adequate training, some guards are downright rude. Please do a better job of hiring and training staff appropriately.

Have been a customer of Knights on Guard for years. Their security guards are professional and well trained. They take care to ensure they know who is coming and going at all times by name, and are quick to react when they detect trouble. They combine security guards and technology to ensure the premises is secure and have caught people in the act of theft or vandalism before any impact was made to the building. They are very reliable and are highly recommended.

I’ve heard a lot for this company but it’s embarrassing what I’m gonna share today. Yesterday, there was a career event conducted in person at this company. It took me 4 hours of travelling to reach there. The whole staff including girl at reception was so good, she treated everyone with respect and great smile. But the one who was conducting interviews is so confusing. I don’t know on what behalf is she hiring people. I went inside her office, gave my interview in a professional manner and I hoped a good response from her side as per my experience. But unfortunately, I wasn’t selected for that.The first thing which I disliked was that she hired guys who had just few months of experience! It’s strange that she can’t differentiate between a person having a year of experience and someone who is just a fresher.Next, she gave preference to the ones who would take a public transit to reach to work. What about us who can reach by car as well?Moreover, I was available for full time but she asked some people who are attending campus at present to visit at orientation.Lastly, the company is hiring security gaurds for condominiums. I had good experience working in condo but she gave preference to others who had no idea of their duties to work in a Condo.What she says to them is “no worries we’ll train you” so what about us who are already trained.

I started at this company just over 2 months ago, as Mobile patrol and an Emergency Mobile Relieve guard. In my role i would do mobile patrols of various sites. I would attend sites to stand down if needed and also attend sites to support site guards and train site guards. through this role I was able to work hard and became very valuable to the company. I recently just got promoted to the weekend Field Supervisor due to my commitment and hard work. I also have a lot of support from Dispatch all the way up to management. This company will support your growth if you put effort and hard work in. 5 stars is not enough.

I used to work, for Knights on Guard from 2020-2022, and it was an experience unlike anything I had experienced before. I started as a concierge then as a EMR- emergency mobile relief, and also as a dispatch in Operations. I was astounded by the roles I carried out which I never thought to be a part of. I say that because the experience that I had gained from each of the roles are truly valuable; I learned of how to practically deal with all types of emergencies with residential buildings, learning about condo bylaws, and even helped with police investigations. I also had the privilege to have some of the best managers you can think of. I say that because they were professional, who actually care about the guards and treat everyone with respect and dignity. Knights on Guard is not what some may think after reading some misinformation they read here. I say that because they care about the service they provide to the client as much as they do for each of their guards and staffs. I worked in many places before, but never had worked for an employer like for KOG. The employer himself who helped me numerous times when I needed the most, which to this day and to the many coming years I will remember. If you're thinking of applying keep in mind there are many opportunities the company has to offer. Unlike others, KOG engages with the necessary innovations in order to better their service with new technologies, and potentially start new programs. I will always have respect, for KOG including the people who I truly care about. Knights on Guard have been our service provider for almost a decade and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Our site is a 24 hour gatehouse protecting a senior population. Our guards are courteous yet understand the need for balance against their job requirements - which is to say they are friendly but will insist on following their post orders.There are always staffing challenges in the security industry. It is the nature of the sector. What sets Knights on Guard above other companies is their willingness to address issues head-on, to work with property management, and they refuse to quit until we have found the right guard for our site.
