Van Houtte Coffee Services

Connected with Van Houtte Coffee Services about a year ago when we were looking for a specific coffee machine for our office. At the time, we had 3 office staff and 9 total employees and expressed this as well as our expected usage and asked if this would be sufficient for the machine that we were looking for. We were told at the time that this would be no problem and that they would be happy to provide the machine for us. We have used the machine for a little over a year, buying all of our supplies from Van Houtte. Over the past year, we have had a representative out to service our machine on a monthly basis. We have had to bring them back on 3 occasions due to the machine not working properly when they left. Set up of the pour spout wasn't positioned properly. A month ago, we got a phone call from their representative telling us that they would be taking the machine away because we were buying supplies from someone else. They claim that we only use 6 cups a day and that that shows we weren't buying from them. Using their own numbers of approx $0.38 per cup, our $300-$400 purchased from them monthly works out to more than 35 cups a day. Their own math doesn't show what they are accusing us of. When we pointed this out, we were told, your right, but we are still taking the machine. We have never put anything through this machine that wasn't purchased from Van Houtte. We have far exceeded the volume of cups that we indicated we would use when we got into the agreement with them as our staff has tripled in the past year.Today they came to remove the machine. I now have a sink that they dumped all the grinds into, despite there being a garbage next to it, that is now plugged up and will require a plumber to clear, a floor covered in water and beans and beans all over the parking lot. There was no show of respect for my property or my building in the process of removing the unit despite us being very accommodating with the removal of the unit. I am very unhappy with the experience overall, and would highly recommend that someone find another company if they are looking for this service in their office. Do not recommend Van Houtte.

Really sad that they cannot provide fresh pumpkin pies, I was told (on the phone) that is all they had.
