Really interesting place to hike. You find these unique wooden carvings throughout. Easy hike but gets muddy when wet.

The part of this wildlife management area that is open to the public has excellent walking trails, as well as a lookout tower with a view of the marshes. This is an excellent place for birdwatchers. One can usually spot an eagle here without much searching. The hours are seasonal. The trails open at 8 am year round, but close at 5 pm between October 1 and April 30 and 8 pm between May 1 and September 30.

Calm and beautiful some artist gave life to dead trees with the carvings. This all look amazing. If you pay attention may in sone tree a fairly opening a little gate for you. Birds are chirping all the time lots of chirping of tree and bush birds. But extremely camouflage. Anna’s hummingbird, golden and Ruby crown kinglets. Brown tree creeper. Red tail hawk. Owls Northern harriers bald eagle. Song sparrow chickadee and warblers.Besides that it’s so bushy full or Fauna and Flora. One high lookout point to see birds. If you’re a selfie lover you can make some cool stuff with Wizard looking crafted trees .Toilets NOFun YESNature walk YESfishing NOdogs ON LEASHESLoop YESWalk EASYIf you love Birds don’t miss the Ladner Harbour just 1.6 km frim here.

Used to enjoy this area. Now it is filled with ugly carvings and trinkets, making this Wildlife Management Area more like somebody's private place to desecrate. So sad that a place set aside for wildlife is now more like just another place full of human ugliness! I want to photograph nature without all these carvings, plastic things and such in the way. In addition, so many people disregard the pets on leash signage.

Good walk, can get muddy after heavy rain. Lots of fun carvings to discover, mostly of wizards. Once inside the park, there is no direction signage, so you might get turned around. Not a overly large trail system so you won’t get hopelessly lost. There is a large open mouth statue, with the sign saying basically saying take something leave something. So if you have a little one, be prepared and bring a little trinket that can survive being outside and maybe you will find a little trinket to trade.
