Parkdale Food Centre
Great new model where volunteers help users select good food to make ends meet. Meals, coffee, cooking classes and life skills are also available. Always busy but many people get critical help.

Parkdale Food Centre
Parkdale food center, especially the not-for-profit Cooking for a Cause are such a huge relief for the community. The food rescues they perform and deliver to shelters etc and the meals they cook are wonderful. The neighbours near by are friendly and often volunteer.

This place is fully wheelchair accessible! The staff and volunteers are very caring and they are ever so helpful. They have very nice hot meals and they offer activities during the week for both youth and adults.

Best food bank/center in Ottawa. Staff and volunteers so kind and friendly. They give you lunch and desert while you wait in line, Every Wednesday there is a community lunch/supper and if you help make it you will get a free crock pot. You do not have to be a good cook, you just need a caring heart.They are very informed about what is going on in the community to help those less fortunate. They will connect you with so many resources. They are your friend and your family... if you want one.This is a great place to donate your time / money.

I found myself in a tough spot once and needed help, and did I ever get lucky that I was in their service area.. They're kind & compassionate without being emotional or making the process more difficult than it has to be.I only ended up needing their service once, but that one time made a huge difference & definitely helped me get back on my feet.

If you are going to have a street fair at 11am immediately adjacent to a doctor’s office, you should not be entitled to block two accessible parking spots hours in advance and make it impossible for disabled clients to make it to their 9am emergency medical appointments. Considering you are a social service, this is highly disappointing. Please consider the rights of people with disabilities. Massive oversight today.
