An older style motel, but clean and up kept. Rooms are a good size. Breakfast is a bit light with no coffee to go cups.

Stayed there last night with a group of friends to start the car season off. The wonderful woman who was at the front desk (did not get her name) did an amazing job taking care of us. Extremely friendly and accommodating, we had 1 minor problem with the room and she was instantly on it to rectify it. Although the lodge is little dated, the staff provides 6 star service. Definitely will recommend this lodge for friends, family and will suggest if people don't know where to stay in Fernie.

Checked in this hotel last week for 3 nights. The staff was very nice, no issues there. Our room, on the other hand, was pretty dirty. We booked a pet friendly room, paid the extra charge and everything was set up. Upon our arrival, we saw long strains of hairs and body hairs in numerous areas (Shower/Tub, vanity wall and sink, pillow cases and inside the sheets), nail clippings on one of the beds and an endless amount of crumbs on the ground that my dog obsessed over until I cleaned most of it up by hand.I spoke to front desk about this and she was very nice and helpful. She showed me a few more rooms we could switch to (all dog friendly) and they were all at the same level of clean". There was a point where she was pointing things out. She noted my account and said a manager would get ahold of me and figure something out. We checked out 4 days ago and I haven't heard anything yet but my credit card has been charged promptly.I understand pet friendly rooms are unique in a way they place only guests with furry companions. They charge a premium/night for the added attention these rooms will get due to having animals in the room. What I don't understand is why these rooms A) Weren't cleaned properly or at all and B) Why has no one tried to contact me about anything.Choosing to stay in local

The first room we were put into had stains on the sheets and the bathroom was so gross. I don't think the room was cleaned at all. Like hairs ALL over the sink from someone shaving. So they moved us to another room, and it was better, but dusty. It wasn't til I woke up this morning and had a shower, went to grab a towel and there was dirt all over the towel. Like, yeah it's a 3 star hotel, but the room was like $200 for one night. Front desk lady was nice but I'd never go back.

Their rooms aren't very clean. They also leave all the doors open during the day so the hallways get hot and filled with flies. Wifi was decent though and if you leave your room ac on all day it's semi-cool by evening.

This is a cool quirky little hotel. It’s dated and uses old school actual keys for the rooms - but it still has everything you need. Some of the amenities were unavailable as a result of Covid. But you could still book private hot tub times and ask for the bagged free breakfast. It’s in a good location and clean. I loved having a private balcony too with mountain views.

This is truly a pet friendly hotel. Upon entering the room there was treats , a toy and bowl with my doggies name on it. A Small map to the local dog park. Only about a 10 min walk. Probably the best dog park I've ever seen Also even closer the Elk river walk was perfect for late evening walk(Bed was extremely comfortable. It's an older building I was expecting to hear the big trucks pull out on the morning. Heard nothing. Air conditioning works amazing. All the staff were amazing. Will be back
