J Steckle Heritage Farm

My family just visited the farm for the first time for their Easter Egg hunt and we absolutely loved it. The whole event was well organized and not overly structured. They also had it set up in such a way that everyone recieved the same amount of treats, which was fantastic as my 2 year old often gets overshadowed by the bigger kids at events. They had many different animals, all of whom seemed well cared for, and so much space for the kids to run and play and just be kids!One of our favourite things though was the staff. Every single person we spoke with was friendly and engaged the children, even my 9 month old. It was fantastic and we will be back again!

We love going there every Tuesday with my 3-years old. There is so much to see and discover every time we go there. Last time we fed the pigs to apples. An unique homestead only a couple minutes drive from home.

HIDDEN GEM IN THE CITY! This is one of the number one places we look forward to visiting locally every spring, summer and fall. I have been visiting for years and tell all of my friends and family. They take such loving care of their animals and have great activities planned for Open Tuesdays as well as their children's programming. There is often a small selection of reasonably priced organic produce for sale throughout harvest time which we love to purchase. We finished attending their Little Farmer's Program this autumn and it was such a blast. We love Veronica - she is so genuine and kind. Everyone who manages this place is down to earth and caring towards families, animals and the environment. Thank you STECKLE FARM for enriching the lives of those around you.

Absolutely amazing place- a hidden gem in the middle of Kitchener. Very friendly stuff and lovely animals. Goats and sheep are the stars of the show. Huge picnic area, lot of kids activities, suitable for small kids. Tractor wagon rides! Very pleasant price for this type of entertainment. Highly recommend!

Fun little farm for the family to visit. Right in the city. Tractor rides, crafts, games, picnic, pet the animals. Super friendly staff, Parking. Open to public every second Tuesday.

We LOVE Steckle Farm. We came here with my preschool for a tour and it was wonderful. Perfectly paced, met lots of animals, tractor ride and friendly/helpful staff. My son comes for Rise & Shine and is a HUGE fan. He looks forward to it every Sunday and we've signed up for the next two months as well! We will definitely be participating in more events at the farm. Keep up the wonderful work!

Awesome place for kids. My kids learned a lot while having fun. Staff is very friendly, and knowledgeable. Played games with the kids, and let them pet different animals. I would definitely recommend for a Sunday afternoon family activity.

Every other Tuesday is Open Tuesday at Steckle! IFYKYK. Come check it out! 5-7pm. Snuggle animals, make crafts, take a tractor ride or 3! Learn and have fun! Definitely my family's favorite place to be. Summer camps and other programs as well.

Beautiful farm with friendly owners! Went for a 15 minute walk and saw some cute animals, loved it! Highly recommend ☺️

We have been coming here since my daughter was 2 years old. We started with Open Tuesdays, then several sessions of Little Farmers, a birthday party, Wake Up Santa event, and most recently participated in the Rise and Shine program this past September.When my son passed away in 2018, my three-year-old daughter was enrolled in the Fall session of Little Farmers. The staff members were caring, understanding and kind enough to gift my child with a sweet Christmas care package. This farm is a true gem in Kitchener.
