Salt Spring Wild Cider House
We recently visited Salt Spring Island for the day and were told if you go to the island you must try the Salt Spring Wild Cider House. I’m not the biggest fan of cider, or at least I didn’t use to be, but we are always up to try anything so off we went. So glad we did!The Salt Spring Wild Cider House also offers a menu featuring a number of wonderful and delicious looking dishes for sharing and tasting. We saw food coming out of the kitchen and it looked fantastic. Unfortunately we were already stuffed from our trip to El Loco Taco also on Salt Spring so we decided to hold off on trying the tapas for our next visit.If you cannot get over to Salt Spring soon you can pick most of Salt Spring Wild Cider House ciders up in both private and government liquor stores. They are full of unique flavours that I can only describe as a taste of Salt Spring.

Salt Spring Wild Cider House
We enjoyed a ton here this weekend!! They have amazing outdoor seating!! You don’t need reservations if you are visiting before 5 PM! It’s first come first serve! But, we were there on a pretty busy day and still got a beautiful outdoor table!Dogs are welcomed on the outdoor seating!About Ciders and Menu now!We went for one of the cider tasting options that came with 6 ciders! That was epic! You can share it among yourself.. unlike most other wine tasting experiences.. there was no per person tasting restriction and/or no guide explaining everything! It felt great for a change!Ciders are amazing! We did love a few from our tasting menu.. but we had to have more of Hopped Apricot! Just delicious!We had a vegan charcuterie board! I wish they add a vegetarian board too.. we love cheese but we don’t eat meat!Don’t forget to try their kettle cooked chips! They are just delectable!! I would visit the island just for those if I could!!Focaccia on the other hand was okayish!!

Salt Spring Wild Cider House
Great selection of ciders (coming from someone that doesn't normally try cider) and a good range of food options. Sat outside with the dogs with some gas heaters and it was really cosy. Lovely staff and nice all-round vibe: recommend as a must do on Salt Spring.

Salt Spring Wild Cider House
Our second time here, and we will return. A fabulous selection of ciders, including all the usual apple-based ones (all great) plus special ciders like hopped apricot, red grapefruit, and plum. This time we went for an early dinner, and really enjoyed the food - we had a salmon rice bowl and a pulled-beef sandwich. It’s a bit of a walk from Saltspring Marina, but well worth the effort.

A warm, friendly environment. We loved our chill dinner outside at the picnic tables, beautiful views to soak up while enjoying the delicious cider and ridiculously good food.Loved the mix of seating and atmosphere available, from inside to out.Excellent service and great selection of cider to take home. I want more!

Salt Spring Wild Cider House
Food was amazing! Cider, also amazing - I don't even like cider normally. The front-of-house staff however was a surprising disconnect. Two items not entered in to the kitchen, had to go up to ask what was going on (would have loved to have tried those meals). Was comped a free drink for the error which was appreciated. Wasn't really too busy on a Sat eve, but that should be the 'A' service staff. Friendly front-of-house, but not sure about the communication management between service and kitchen. Would happily give it another try though.

Super good vegetarian mushroom risotto, in good portion. And it was nice to try several ciders in flight.The service isn't great though, we had to go get menus ourselves, get the plates, and even ask for cutlery.

Salt Spring Wild Cider House
We did a tasting on their outdoor patio overlooking beautiful views of the farm. The ciders are unique and unlike any other cider you may pick up at a liquor store. We bought up 12 bottles and still continue to order from them time to time. Elderberry is our favourite flavour!

Salt Spring Wild Cider House
Food and alcohol was good, always love their ciders. The Venison Sausage was delicious with the squash mash and the Wok Squid was perfect tenderness. Awesome dog friendly patio and there were dog friends roaming around too that belonged to the property. Only thing that was a little disappointing was the service, which seemed a little cold, albeit they were still professional.
