Alice Melo Fine Art

Two words: Absolutely amazing.Alice offers workshops for every skill level. She teaches at a pace for beginners but also makes you feel as though you've been painting for years. Very relaxed and inclusive environment. Highly recommend :)In regards to her art, I have no words. It's simply astounding.

I had the pleasure of attending a painting class held by Alice. The medium we focused on was acrylic but I know she covers a variety of mediums in the various lessons she provides. I hadn’t painted in a long time and was nervous about picking up the paint brush but Alice created a welcoming and informative setting. Everything was well prepared and professionally laid out. She talked us through how to paint a design of a blue jay. The class felt fun like a paint night but with more depth in instruction. She talked about and displayed various techniques while encouraging a bit of creative freedom. All in all, it was a great experience and led to me creating a painting that I totally was not expecting out of myself. Thank you Alice for the wonderful opportunity!

I met Alice many years ago when I first decided I wanted to learn how to paint, and signed up for one of her group classes. Since then, I have taken many more of her instructional group painting classes, have purchased her beautiful art, and now I am taking some private lessons, working on a personal project. She is an exceptional artist, a super kind person, and she makes learning easy and fun, even if you have never painted before.

Alice is a great teacher and very talented artist. Loved her watercolour workshop. She creates a relaxed atmosphere and allows all participants to shine! Highly recommended.
