The Salvation Army Thrift Store

Finally went to SA after the lockdown & very pleased with my purchases....a lovely dress ,& 4 t-shirts for my son...... reasonably priced.....store is well stocked with variety of clothes, kitchenware, golf clubs, even a piano......clean store & following all covid protocols.

It's good as far as thrift shopping goes. SA is cheaper than Value Village whose prices are out of control. Also, there's no tax at Salvation Army.Update 5/28/23:Still a great place for thrift shopping. Prices have risen a little but still better than Value Village. Also, you can get a 10% Seniors discount starting at age 60. And, there is still no tax!

A friendly place to shop. Since it’s In Markham there are a number of stuffs useful to Chinese. I can found a number of cookware , stationary written in Chinese . I have bought a Chinese medicine boiling pot . One thing I discovered that the same kind of bowl sold at Kennedy location cost 99cents but here 1.99! It’s a small store but you can found fluffy toys, bed frame, coach bags, clothing, cookware, electric small appliances, books, video, games , shoes, glassware etc.

Pleasant, friendly staff who are always there to welcome you. The Store Manager, Dianne was exceptionally polite and takes care of her customers very well. Often you see customers making a point to talk. Diane is polite and she knows her customers and often made valid recommendations. She treats her staff well and I see mutual respect from her staff too. Her positive attitude and work ethics made the store a pleasant place to visit every time.

It is my first to this store, i found a lot of interesting items here with a very good price! I came to drop off boxes of donation. They accept used or unused households items, Electronics, clothing, toys, books but no big furniture nor TV. The collection is at the back of the store, a personnel is there, we dropped everything in the bin. i believe they would sort the items later. I took boxes of books, toys, Electronics items, small cameras, torches calculators, computer mouse, speakers, cables, leather binders, winter jackets, kids clothes and a big bag of clothes all with tag on. I recommend this place if you have donations. it is a good place for you are looking for costume for dress-up parties or getting good price linen to cover up furniture when painting at home. The store is located in a plaza and has a lot of parking spaces

This specific review is a very positive shout out to the staff working this past Saturday, October 08th, 2022. Monte, Mini, and all the other staff on this busy day were extremely polite and helpful to customers.. It was easy to notice how well this team/ group worked pleasantly for and with each other despite it being such a busy day. I have had issues with practice and fairness in the past but give credit when it is deserved.Thank you

The Salvation Army does so many good things for so many people. They have touched my life when I was younger and I feel better every time I donate to them. They have friendly staff and I recommend that everyone to help their charitable organisation and people in need. Their recycled items they sell helps improves the lives of others without much of a cost.If you like my reviews, videos or photos give them a thumbs up. But more importantly, please help your fellow man in need and the sally ann (military nick name for the Salvation Army).

I left the store happy today. Was always curious to find out what's inside, take a peak or two at the selection. We had a great bargain today for 2 patio chairs and a table, as well as a table soccer! It will cost me more to purchase a paint, actually. I felt intimidated to go and try huge stores like value village, and this cozy store made me feel excited. Definately gonna come back. Thank you, Diane for your help.

My dad asked me to write this review for Salvation Army Thrift Store. He loves to go there and buy stuffs. We can find many things which are quite new or unpacked there. Staff members are also very nice and professional. Whenever my dad goes there , they happily help him. The store manager and staff member specifically Monty and Anubhava are very kind and helpful with my dad. You can find many interesting new things to buy there.

Wide selection of various used items. Staff are nice, don’t forget to test electronics before purchasing.
