Old Country Market - Goats on Roof

OUTSIDE, the draw are the goats on the grass-covered roof lazily munching away, ignoring all the tourists & others taking their photos on a sunny day in June. INSIDE, the even greater draw are the myriad of packaged goods, fresh meats, baked treats, and unique items (lots from Japan in the back) for sale. Plus there are abundant indoor chairs & tables where you can sit and enjoy your meals (they will deliver to your table after ordering from the counter). My touristy group of eight (8) spent about two hours here. BONUS: There are a few additional shops behind Old Country Market - think fresh produce, ice cream, a popular restaurant, and a huge grassy sloped hill where even more goats are lounging about in the shade. This is a must-stop, must-visit kind of place for locals and tourists alike.

As much as we loved the market and the different types of food and delicatessen they had, there weren't very many goats on the roof, but still fun none the less. We got some fresh honey, some delicious beef jerky and some of the different flavour chocolate smoothies candies. So fun

Awesome place!!! Local produce local everything! As the title of the place says goats on a roof! This is most certainly true!We visited twice we loved it so muchEven better if your British they have a whole food produce section!

Goats on the roof and so many neat things inside! I love this place. Good food, and so many interesting things to buy, eat and see.

This is a unique shop in Coombs. They have goats n the roof but when we were there it was still cold and not yet them on the roof. You can buy food and done unique items in the shop. They have a washroom facilities. There are many other shops around as well. It is a very touristy area and a good place to visit.

Great shops with unique products. Excellent selections at the deli including smoked salmon and various jerky products. Plenty of parking and a great place to get out and stretch being about half way between Victoria and Tofino right along the route.

Beautiful place to unwind and shop! Lovely donuts, ice cream, market with fresh produce and get your groceries! Also a few clothing places, wooden furniture and an awesome comic book store with so many comics and figurines! Love to come here as much as possible! Of course always happy to see goats on the roof.

We came back after 4 years and the place is still just as cool and fun to explore.A huge variety of different foods to try. There are also many unique gifts.Oh, and don't forget about the goats on the roof... Watch out for poo! lol
