TWEDY'S Nails & Spa | Mac Island

I'm posting this using my boyfriends account.I got a brand new set of Gel Nails on Saturday, June 29, 2019. The technician was wonderful, and the experience in the salon was overall great. Love the shape and thickness of the nail. Tuesday, July 2, the two large gems had fallen off, and the next day my right ring-finger nail also fell off. I made an appointment for Thursday, July 4. The technician was pleasant and fixed my nails for me - no charge, I decided to go for smaller gems this time as I did not want to worry about the large ones falling off again. Sunday, July 7, my right pinky nail had fallen off and I decided to wait before doing anything. This morning, Thursday, July 11, I had 3 broken nails. As I am writing this review I have 5 broken nails (6 broken in total). 2 Stars because while I really did enjoy myself there, I am very disappointed at the quality. Worth mentioning; I don't do anything physically demanding or anything that makes me worry about losing a nail. Majority of my coworkers have their nails done.

What a superb experience that l had at Twedys Nail Saloon. Had my nails done by the owner and l'm happy with the results. And l had one of the best pedicures too. Keep up the good work Twedy and your staff. Will be back for sure!

I was there to have my gel nails redone. She didn't remove the old ones, just used the dremel to sand them down as much as possible. I was in that seat for 2 hours and 40 min, that was ridiculous and she kept saying almost done, almost done. I wanted ombre and she was good with that, she airbrushed the color on - I mentioned numerous times it was too light (you can see in the pictures that my left thumb nail is pretty dark at the tip which is what I wanted for all of them. I have never had nails lift or break before. I was unhappy with the entire experience at this salon. I won't be going back.

Twedy's is my regular go to for nails. I need acrylic and get consistent, durable, and pretty nails. They are always up for fun designs too if you want! Her pedicures with the hot stones and massager are amazing! They time their foot massage too so you never get shorted! Great spot to go for groups too!

Went here as there seemed to be great reviews, however was somewhat disappointedNo appointment was necessary, was taken in immediately ( I was the only client in there)Went in to get an Ombre fill, was told approximately 45 minutes, which ended up taking OVER 1.5 hours.My nails looked fine when leaving although they didn't even last 2 weeks , which I was not happy with considering the cost of a fill here is upwards of $80.Located in MacDonald Island Park which offers loads of free parking as well as on bus route.

This place is amazing! Easily the best Pedicure in town hands down! Come in and see Ryan or Gina, I got a free parafin wax, highly recommend the pedicure for anyone who wears steel toes 12 hours a day! Almost forgot to add that they serve beer! My fiance had her nails done too.

The lady working there was amazing! I forgot her name :( she was honest and very sweet loved my nails!

Went in to get a new acrylic set. Service was great. They were all very friendly. Only complaints I have are she would put extra charge items on my nails like designs and diamonds without asking me so my bill racked up without my consent. The nails itself only latest about 2 weeks, not sure if it’s due to cheap acrylic or the speed of my nail growth. All in all it’s a “sure, good enough” nail salon.

I have really bad in grown toenails. T did a great job of getting my nails back in shape and out of pai. Best massage I've ever had spring for the extra massage as you won't regret it. Five stars for sure.

I had a fabulous experience at Twedys, downtown Fort McMurray. Tammy did an amazing job on my lash extension, and the room we were in was gorgeous and made me feel so relaxed. I had a great nap and was super happy with the results. Nancy gave me literally the best manicure acrylic tip that I've ever had. Beautiful butterfly design and the shape was perfect. Twedy supplied me with wine the entire time. Good music was playing and I felt pampered. I sincerely enjoyed my spa day here and highly recommend this place to anyone who just needs a full day of pampering. 10 out of 10!!!!
