The insectarium is lovely! There is a lot of information about how insects experience the world, including a camera that shows how insects with compound eyes would see you!The insect and butterfly/moth room was amazing, I have ALWAYS wanted to see leaf-cutter ants. I could have stayed all day watching them take little bits of leaf off a plant, fall, and make a trip back with the plant bit. They were adorable!

Best way to visit is to get the passport and do it all at your pace. The whole visit takes no longer than 45 mins to an hour. The parking cost here includes the big park too but it would have been beneficial if there were short term parkings provided for insectarium guests. Kids loved the place

We've gone 5+ times. The kids (4 and 2) love it, and I enjoy it too. There are often staff members with live specimens you can touch, and sometimes there are activities (like making a bug craft).

Huge diversity of insects to see! Make sure you buy your tickets in advance as they can sell out quickly!Sometimes there's a live exhibition where you can hold the bugs. Be sure to check out the time for those.You can probably spend 1.5 hours here at max (without kids).

Great with kids, they just couldnt wait to visit, after entering you enter and pretend to be in an ant colony, over 70 different frames with divers insect species, can touch small millipeds, see many different species of butterflies and insect activities for kids before leaving.

Beautiful place to visit in Montreal. Very interesting place for kids. Can easily spend 2 hours in this area. Great collection of bees and a lot of insects. The place is well maintained and enough people to explain things around. Get ready to have fun with some insects and for good memories.

Very nice but take your time as it is quite small. The room with free butterflies is amazing. Check out the ants!

Honestly an amazing museum to visit. It's been renovated and is very well done. Just wish there were more exhibits with live insects. It gets very crowded in there and is unbearable when kids are shoving.The butterfly room is amazing. Worth the visit just for this. There's so many flying around, and many other bugs hiding in the trees and the bushes of you look close enough.

I really liked it but there is a lot of room for improvement. There were no explainers or guides for the insects so while the insects were amazing I ended up wanting to learn more
