Dr Viet Tan Tran

Does not take the time to explain... Doesn't give you a chance to ask questions.. They don't answer the phone and their voicemail is always full... Good luck trying to reschedule or cancel an appointment

After reading the reviews on here and other sites, I was very worried about the quality of service I would receive from Dr Tran. I told myself I would go for the consult and make a decision afterwards based on how my experience aligned with all the reviews I read.I have to say I was very impressed with the consult. He read my file prior and demonstrated that he retained and understood everything written in it. He answered all my questions and didn't give me the rushed feeling at all. It gave me the confidence to go ahead and have Dr Tran perform the procedure.My operation was quick and handled in a very well professional manner.In the end, what the majority of people wrote in these reviews was not the experience I received. If you are doubting Dr Trans skills as a urologist, then rest assure you are in good hands.Yes, his reception might not always be on the ball, but in the end they aren't the ones operating on me.

Doctor Tran successfully diagnosed me and performed a seamless surgery. Was very clear from start to finish about what it would look like and how it would feel. Listened to my concerns about certain prescription drugs and set me up with the appropriate ones. Was very helpful in explaining what was wrong with me and showing me the progress on the x-rays and what everything meant. I have no complaints.

Not only was Dr Tran rude but he is also highly incompetent. He prescribed me a treatment for my condition which turns out to actually make the condition even worse. For two years I was doing his treatment only to know later that he did not diagnosed my condition correctly(out of his laziness), while the treatment he gave me only was making matters even worse for me. Would never trust him again. Would never go to him again.

Doctor Tran is a excellent doctor and has been taking care of my husband for the last 3 years. He is very professional in what he does. The visits are always perfectly handled as are the exams. Would recommend him.

Neither Dr. Tran, nor the individual at reception conduct themselves with any level of professionality. Dr. Tran neglected to properly explain the procedure I was referred to him for, and dismissed any questions I had for him before or after said procedure. Reception would fail to return calls, and would commonly overbook Dr. Tran (perhaps explaining his tendency to rush you through things as other reviews have mentioned). Your concerns seem to agitate them both, and overall if you have any other options for treatment, I suggest going there instead.

I' m trying to find a meaning behind some negative comments for Dr Tran, because nothing of that is true. I give my highest credit and thank you to Dr Tran for all he is doing greatly to help us. People should not be too selfish, but rather recognize, respect and appreciate other cultures in the world as well.ThANK YOU DR. TRAN!!!

Dr. Tran is efficient and competent. Although he is very busy, he has answered all of my questions and concerns during my visits. He is direct, but extremely gentle and well mannered during exams. Dr. Tran has my trust.

Receptionist called me to set up an appointment but I already had one elsewhere except it was virtual. I would prefer an in person appointment as I thought that my issue my not be solved with a virtual one and I would prefer the in person appointment they were offering, she ignored me for a while and hung up on me when I was trying to explain my situation on the basis that since I've already booked something I should not be booking another. Hell of a way to deal with frustrated customer.

I have to share my review to help others choose another urologist. Dr Tran inserted a bladder sling on me years ago. He explained this was an easy procedure and life long treatment for bladder issue. I was told while sedated I would need 6 weeks at home to recover! Not a minor surgery! I was given no info on this prior . Then immediately had problems walking and he said he may have done it too right during a follow up.Also experienced and still experience weird swelling at sight. Went back a few years later with same pain and he told me not to worry that mine wasn’t the one recalled. This is how I found out about recalls and class actions! Mine was taken off shelf voluntarily by company and he failed to tell me this. His bedside was terrible and he dismissed me during follow ups and told me my pain was t sling related. He only took me seriously after the class actions started. If you are seeing him ask ALOT of questions, do your homework and be prepared to not have informed info nor be treated with care after surgery! So if you are wondering why the negative comments this is one example of many during my care under him. Now I have a bladder sling that is eroding slowly I side of me that was never meant to be a permanent device and had I had the info prior to surgery that this was not a life king device and I would need multiple surgeries that take 6 weeks to recover from - I would NOT have had this for minor bladder issue!!
