Muskoka Discovery Centre
Dropped in at the Marine Museum for a visit with a family of five (older kids) for about 1.5 hours on Sunday July 15th 2017, during what felt like a tsunami like rain. Front desk staff and the two museum volunteers were wonderful. Volunteer 'Bob', in the vintage boat area had an astounding wealth of knowledge. Museum is well laid out with engaging displays.

The volunteer who greeted us was passionate abd very knowledgeable. We enjoyed it overall, I definitely want to return one day when my kids are old or with just my husband.

Love this place. Clean, affordable and so informative. It's hard to believe how much culture and history there is in Muskoka. Truly one of the world's greatest treasures!!! Go!!!

Amazing museum for the visitors of Muskoka. I was pleasantly surprised. Recommended for anybody interested to learn more about the history if Muskoka and steamships in this area.

Muskoka Discovery Centre
Very interesting place to visit, if you like history and steamships. There's plenty of information to take in on the self guided tour. The boats are beautiful to see. There is an area for kids to learn and play, and do crafts as well.The Watershed exhibit was interesting and is a souvenir shop.If you're taking the cruise, let them know and according to the gentleman that told history on Winonah, you can get a discount on the museum. We went to the museum prior to the cruise, so it was neat knowing a bit about the history beforehand.

Muskoka Discovery Centre
A beautiful gateway not very far away from Toronto. You can either plan a full - day trip or stay at the resort here for a more relaxed weekend. I would also suggest coming here with your kids and together have some great family time. The place boasts of a heritage museum alongside the steamship and cruise centre , where tou can either pre- book a speciality cruise or go for the 1 /2 hour cruise .Also, for your hunger pangs ,stop by the many small cafes, right beside the water deck or enjoy some great snacks at Boston Pizza or at the Dock of the Bay restaurant .

Museum is truly wonderful. Interactive, informative, just the right use of creative technology but not too verbose...very effective.The live freshwater aquarium" will pop out a short description of anything you care to touch. The in-water classic and antique boats and the 94ft "Wanda" 1915 former Eatons ship are eye popping.Well worth the visit. There is an upper level for the kids as well.I took only a few random pictures...too busy checking displays."

It's a good place containing a lot of history, it could be very interesting with a guided tour, most of the touch screens weren't working properly and staff were nowhere to be seen.Fir the price we paid, it could've been so much better.
