Requested a timing chain replacement because of a check engine light the codes recommend a timing chain as soon as possible. The equinox is also well known for needing them at around 120k. Was told that I should do a diagnostic first. While my car was there I got a call. Good news! Probably just because it was low on oil. Recommended an oil change. Perfect! Went to pick up my car. Found it running in the parking lot, unattended, with the doors unlocked. Because they drained the battery during the diagnostic. $320 dollars (85 of that was to change a light bulb). THE ENGINE LIGHT IS STILL ON!!!!! AND THE CAR IS STILL CHUGGING. The best part was that I was also given a quote for almost $8000 on other work that the car needs. INCLUDING A TIMING CHAIN!!! This business will never see another dollar from me. Do not recommend

Jessie in the service department is extremely personable and very helpful. I went to the Brian McLean dealership for a second opinion on getting new brakes on my truck after getting a ridiculous price in Powell River, where I live. Not only were my brakes inspected for free, but the price to replace my brakes is $700 less than at the GMC dealership in Powell River. Jessie also informed me that I do not need certain parts which the other GMC dealership said I needed.I highly recommend the Brian McLean dealership as they are honest and awesome to deal with.
