Marine Atlantic Argentia Ferry Terminal

It was easy to board the ferry and the washrooms were clean. The ferry ride was pleasant with a comfortable if small cabin. We didn't order food as when we booked the restaurant was listed as closed. The menu posted on board indicated that the prices where reasonable and comments we heard indicated the food was good. They were efficient loading and unloading the cars.

Very friendly people . Boarding was at 3:00 but never started boarding until 3:45. The washrooms in the building for the ladies were all out of order but two wo needlessfo say a line for a busy place.

This terminal was very busy, neat and tidy. Staff were very welcoming. We had taken MV Atlantic Vision Ferry and it requires to book tickets 6 months in advance of a cabin is required due to its long 16 Hours journey on water from Argentia, Newfoundland to North Sydney. Nova Scotia.We were late to book for cabin early so we had to sleep on air seats which were comfortable for sitting but not for sleeping, and toilet and shower facilities were inside air seats room which was very nice and clean.

I had a pet friendly cabin that came with 4 bed, 2 sets of bunk beds. The ferry itself was very modern. They had an a la Carte restaurant, a buffet restaurant for dinner and breakfast, and the bar served pub food after 9pm. They also had a lady performing music until 1030pm. It was very hard to find a seat in the lounge earlier in the evening because lots of people camped out for places to sleep, but by 930pm the place had thinned out enough that I was able to grab 1 seat for myself. Kid friendly arcade and games room were also available.

Boarding was easy and we'll organized. We had a cabin for the crossing fortunately. The staff on board were friendly and helpful.

Our ferry ran quite late and was a rocky ride. Be sure to book a berth early if you are traveling overnight as places to rest comfortably would be few and far between without one! The staff was super friendly and helpful!

First time taking an overnight ferry & it was a fun experience. Two people booked a 4-berth interior cabin since it was the only one available for our end of June travel date. Beds were comfortable for ferry standards & bathroom was spacious & had hot pressured water. We learned from the shorter day ferry that WiFi in the lounge areas is limited or non-existent like this ferry, so download stuff beforehand. Supper was buffet style & was okay ($30 CAD each). It's tough to find much around the ferry terminal for supper but it's fresh & convenient on the ferry. A few options at breakfast like muffins, fruit, cereals, yogurt, packaged sandwiches, toast & coffee. Not sure if it was timing but seems there should have been more dining options for the amount of people; entry line was 50 deep so it took about 20-30min to get seated. We would take the ferry again but maybe plan dining better like eating a big lunch on land & bringing a salad on board for dinner.
