Mainspace encompasses everything you could ever want in a wedding venue. My husband and I were searching for a space that could comfortably hold 50-60 guests as well as host both our ceremony and reception. It was perfect! Having our ceremony outside with a mountain backdrop as well as a reception surrounded by beautiful art felt like such a dream.A big benefit to booking with Mainspace was having most of the heavy lifting and planning largely done for us. Our package included our lovely wedding coordinator Sophie's services and advice, florals, DJ, linens and silverware as well as wait and bar staff. Everything went exactly as planned and our guests were thrilled with the experience and of course the views! If you plan on hosting a small wedding in Canmore I highly recommend Mainspace for their professional expertise and an all around gorgeous space. We had the most incredible, magical, and perfect wedding at Mainspace on July 9, 2022! Sophie and the rest of the Mainspace team went above and beyond our expectations. From the moment planning and communication started, we felt heard, supported, and cared for. We knew we were in good hands. Sophie and her team are incredibly kind, helpful, and supportive. Every little detail of our day was absolutely perfect, and was everything we had ever dreamed of. Sophie’s advice on planning and vendors were extremely helpful, and all of her recommendations helped to make our day the most special day of our lives. The Mainspace team took our vision and executed it perfectly. From the moment we arrived at our reception, to the moment we left, everything was a dream come true! Throughout the entire evening and for months after our wedding, our guests have continued to let us know how beautiful, perfect, and organized our wedding reception was. Everything was so well planned out and the work that Sophie and her team put in was outstanding. I cannot recommend Mainspace enough. It encompasses everything a perfect mountain wedding is. Having our reception dinner and small party (we had about 60 guests) at Mainspace was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding this summer 2022! Sophie was a pleasure to work with and set up the space perfectly matching our vision of a simple, rustic, natural style, and we were continuously amazed by her attention to detail. We highly recommend Sophie and Mainspace for a classy, cozy wedding!! Oh did we mention they have the best patio view (all the way from Three Sisters to HaLing peak) where you can set up a long harvest table outside!?

We got married at Mainspace in August and it was amazing! The space is so unique and beautiful: local art on the walls, social yet intimate layout of the space, not to mention the balcony views from both the front and back! We held our ceremony on the back balcony with the mountains behind us. It was stunning! The dinner and dancing areas are well laid out; our guests loved it. Sophie and the team were incredible to work with: really friendly, warm and professional. You can tell they love what they do. They handled everything: from the decor, to the beautiful table set up, to the exceptional bar service. We are so happy with how everything went, and couldn’t recommend this location and team more highly. Our day was perfect!

We chose to have our wedding at Mainspace as we wanted something unique. We held a cocktail/ gala style wedding reception with 100 people and every guest commented that it was one of the best weddings they have attended.Though the space is on the smaller side, Sophie was able work pure magic to include a bar, stage set up for a live band, dance floor, photo booth, charcuterie table, serving areas for waitstaff and ample casual seating for our guests. The use of the front and back patios were absolutely amazing, with fire tables and ample seating it created the most magical feeling.Sophie was so wonderful to work with and helped us coordinate our musicians, catering, space planning and more - our day would not have been as perfect as it was without her help.Thank-you from the bottom of our hearts for creating a memory that will last for a lifetime - we highly recommend Sophie and Mainspace!

Our wedding was Mainspace's second (May 28, 2022) and it could not have been more perfect! As soon as Sophie and staff took over planning, I knew we were in good hands. They found us a caterer in our price range on short notice, were forgiving of any miscommunications that had occurred under prior ownership and went above and beyond to make our day special. Every time I thought I needed to address something, Sophie already had it under control. People were coming up to us all evening and contacting us the next day to let us know what a beautiful and well organized event it was. The signature drinks were delicious (thanks, John!), florals stunning, decor on point, reception and ceremony space gorgeous. The Prosecco toast after the ceremony and in the bridal suite was a nice touch. The DJ that Mainspace hired was fabulous and had guests dancing right until close (we were concerned that no one would dance with such a small group). If people did not feel like dancing they could enjoy s'mores at the fire outside, watch passerby on the street below or take in the art at the gallery. If taking advantage of one of the smaller packages, I highly recommend setting up a family style table with sweetheart table at the head (T formation). It felt so intimate and our guests loved being able to sit together. Hopefully I covered everything but do not hesitate to book your wedding here. Mainspace is an awesome venue and team of people to work with. There was quick communication, organized outlines of the wedding plan and what the day would look like, as well as fantastic coordination with the vendors you choose. I cannot say enough good words about the Mainspace team, but they are the right people to get your special day right!
