Amazing people and amazing place! Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable! They have an amazing dog their too who is super friendly! Staff are willing to leash or our dog away at moments notice and are super accommodating to all clientele!

I am reluctantly making a negative review of this store. I love the store and its staff, and have been shopping here for years, but I cannot abide the dog anymore. I've tried to work with the store manager, trying to only come in when the dog is absent or call ahead so the dog can be put away, but it's only a matter of time before someone is bitten, and my anxiety just can't take it anymore.The last time I came in I sensed an inexplicable coldness from the staff, so unfortunately I'm making the NE store my go-to now.I'm very sad and disappointed that this store is prioritizing a staff member's aggressive dog over customers.To be clear, I love animals, but this dog is unpredictable, very large, and often unfriendly. He's barked aggressively at me numerous times, lunged at me when I'm coming in the door, and growled and snapped while the manager strains to hold him back by his leash. He is decidedly unfriendly, and I suspect the positive reviews were written by friends of the dog's owner.

I wish I could leave 10 stars! I have never in my life dealt with such pleasant people over the phone. They assisted me with purchasing exactly what I needed several times and shipped my items quicker than I expected. It made my day just to deal with them. Professional. Polite. Personable. Patient. Proficient. I can't say enough how impressed I was with their service.

I also was accosted by a rather large dog that barked and rushed at me when I entered the store. I requested they please control their animal and they assured me the dog was friendly, a puppy and in training and their smug attitude told it all, as if there was something wrong with Me. Its all well and good and I Love Dogs just as much as the next person, but if a dog is like this it should be kept on a short leash in the store. An elderly person experiencing this could have had a possible heart attack , and yet another individual may have kicked the dog into a display out of fear causing damage to the premises. The portly lady in charge didnt give a damm and her smug look made that apparent. I cannot give this business a very good recommendation, it used to be a decent place to do business. People erroneously think that, oh my dogs friendly and cute and Im sure thats case, but a business like this pushes this on customers with No Regard or Care as to whether a person may have a dog allergy or an innate fear of them.

I love Tandy leather! Such amazing staff. They used to have a dog that would hang out, I miss seeing him as he was the sweetest dog and made my experience just that much more fun, but I understand that corporate has made a policy change. Last time I was in, Candice helped me, she was so professional, kind and sweet. I would come in just to see her. Would totally recommend coming in if you want quality materials, services, and to interact with incredibly kind people!!

Their dog is hurting their business. That dog has no place in that store and will bite someone - just a matter of time. Fair warning! The dog was in a foul humor, and we had to leave because the dog growled and barked at both my wife and I. The woman in the store held the dog's leash, but the dog would not sit at her command. We had been regular customers over the past years.

The nicest people ever work here ! So helpful and nice.
