Coach Canada Megabus

I have lived in Kitchener Ontario for a couple years. I travel with one of 2 types of bicycles, one being a kids size BMX for freestyle and the other a full sized 700c fixy.Contrary to what most reviews say about Megabus drivers, I have never had a problem with rudeness I'd say.Also I have had no problem with the drivers stowing one of my fully assembled bikes below deck. No problem for 2 years until March 2,2019.I have never looked at the policy before as there were non-issue.I waited for the bus with my bike in hand clearly intending to board when ready. As I see him leave the bus, I asked the bus driver (still with my bike in hand) if the departure and boarding times are correct.He says yes, seeing that I have a bicycle in hand, and leaves to the bus drive office for a minute. As i am assuming the driver will stow my bike, I let all the other passengers ahead of myself in line.However, when it's finally my turn, the driver suddenly informs me that bikes are not aloud to be transported on Megabus. This realy bewildered me as it has never been an issue and there was still plenty of room for my bike. I told him it hasn't been an issue in the past 2 years. He tells me that that is impossible and that the policy has been in place for more than 3 years.Luckily i had a bike lock, however the driver forced me to not only ruin my trip that intended to have my bicycle, but also to put the safety of my personal property in jeopardy as I had to leave my bike locked outside in the middle of downtown Kitchener for 2 days and nights.Kitchener is highly prone to bicycle the, as most other urban centers, and safe bicycle storage is never provided.As I boarded without my bike now, I asked the driver why he would not mention this to me when I first talked to him 30 minutes before hand when he clearly saw me with a bike. I did not raise my voice but his answer was yeah just take it easy buddy!" In Canada those are fighting words and they made feel rather angry at that point although indidn't lash out.i returned back to Kitchener and was relieved that my bike was not stolen or vandalized.Current I am on another trip from Cambridge Ontario to Hamilton. After looking over the Megabus baggage policy I realized that Megabus actually has a very limited amount of luggage that one can actually bring. I called and enquired about why the policy was this way.The reply was there is no room. I explained that that is false and the bus had enough room for me to store 10 bikes +everyones bags. But the people working do not give any le way. So I snuck my bike Ina guitar bag on the bus. Is this better than just letting people live normally and not have a war on cyclists? Just because I don't have a car available does not make me a second class citizen. Why do companies hate cyclists? Especially In Canada where green energy is supposed to be supported Canada"
