Roughly a month ago, we discovered a rotting part of a wall of a two story house that was due to years of moisture and ground water exposure. Peter suggested multiple approaches to fix the issue which corresponded with what other contractors were suggesting. His price was reasonable, based on the estimates we got from other contractors.The plan we agreed upon was to support the upper floor and then cut the rotten area, fill the gap with reinforced concrete, and let the existing wall and studs lay on the newly dried concrete. This would save time and money by avoiding the need of additional wood material and expensive stucko work. Finally they suggested placing a water insulating membrane on the outside of the concrete.They could have said that the whole wall should be replaced like others did, however, they worked with us, and adjusted options, so we do not blow up our budget and go in debt for something that was really necessary to address.Peter and his team have been great at what they promised and delivered. They started working right away unlike others who said they could start at least after a couple of months. They managed to fit us in their schedule and work was complete within a month. They took into account that we cannot afford the 2x+ price of some of the other contractors and helped find a solution that was working for everyone.Communication was top the whole time.Time will tell how this review will age, so take it as you wish, but as of now we would recommend Peter and his team any time.5 stars and thanks for the great work!

This was my first time working with a contractor and my experience was made very positive and stress-free thanks to Peter and his crew. Peter explained the process step by step, respected my budget, and checked in with me whenever any changes were required. He is professional, honest, and patient in answering questions. His crew are also very hard working and friendly, bringing positive energy into the home. The final result looks awesome and it was done in no time. Peter and his crew built out my commercial unit. He was transparent about our costs from the very beginning and was the most detailed company when it came down to breaking down our quote. He’s very professional as well as his crew and he would always answer my emails, texts, phone calls. I have high standards and he met them time and time again. If I had an issue with something it was always resolved in a timely manner. The unit turned out beautiful and I would highly recommend him and his crew over anyone else.

We had started a full legal basement suite development with aDIFFERENT company. Once they ran out of money, they stopped work and refused to answer phone calls. We would have paid more just to get the job DONE as it was a low quote for the work. With a week until move in (with a signed rental contract) and loads of work undone, we were in trouble.When we first talked with Peter, he sympathized with our situation with our prior contractor and found a way to free up a few of his guys to help us get our suite done so the tenants could move in on time. He stayed in contact with us prior to and throughout the project to ensure everything was running smoothly and meeting our expectations. The Joshua Contracting crew showed up when they said they would, and efficiently worked well into the late evening to get the doors fitted, casing installed, drywall smoothed, window jambs installed and aligned, cased plus all the holes filled. On day two it was all completed with nice coats of paint and tidied up.For any future projects, or if family and friends need work done, Joshua contracting will be our FIRST choice. They saved us having a family with nowhere to live when they thought they had a brand new suite.
