Serenity Ponds

I truly want to thank Serenity Ponds for coordinating with us to have our ponds cleaned and opened for the spring, only to have them not show up on 3 different occasions, and have now not replied to several phone calls, text messages and emails. We were completely flexible with times, patient with them when they didn’t come, but are extremely unhappy with their lack of professionalism and maturity. I would never ever recommend this company to anyone I cared about.

At the start of using this company to open and close my pond each year, I had no complaints. however, after talking several times with Brian about changing the waterfall feature, I went ahead and agreed with him to do the work on making a larger waterfall than the one that was there. It was the biggest mistake I have made and regret using this company to make the changes we had talked about, and agreed upon doing. He ruined the established pond and surrounding gardens, he did NOT create the waterfall feature as we had agreed on, and, he never finished the work that was supposed to have been done, after he was paid in advance for stone costs. The pond is now not working, and not functioning, due to water leaking from the pond. I'm very disappointed by the lack of honesty and professional workmanship.- James

Was maintaining pond at first, but when we contracted him to do some work revamping the pond and building a waterfall feature once things were “prepaid to locate the stone we needed”, he was impossible to reach. He took off with several hundred dollars and always had excuses as to why he couldn’t finish the job. Horrible service. Unprofessional.

I had a pond emergency and sent a text after hours to ask if someone could help out the next day. Brian texted back within minutes, gave me easy instructions and quickly put my mind at ease about what was probably happening. He couldn't get by the next day, as he was fully booked with other clients, but the steps he gave me were enough to protect the resident fish. He did come the day after as promised and even a few minutes early.As a new pond owner, I really appreciated that even though he was probably just as busy that day with other calls, he never seemed rushed or impatient with all of my questions. He fixed the problem, and showed me exactly what he'd done and then explained what had caused the problem, so I could handle it if it reoccurred in future. He also answered many other questions about pond management, fish care, predators and defense, pump and filter function, algae control, drainage, etc. Cost was $100 for the on site visit, diagnosis and repair. Very reasonable for an unscheduled visit that took nearly an hour with all my questions!I would definitely contact this company again if I needed any pond services, and would have no hesitation in referring to family or friends.

Serenity Ponds is the absolute best !! Brian, thank you for your continued years of servicing my pond. Your knowledge, care, honesty and customer service are extraordinary. You have nursed some of my sick fish back to health caring about them as much as I did, built and landscaped waterfalls, supplied beautiful flowers and greenery, built a greenhouse to protect my fish in the winter.. the list is endless. Fish Whisperer Extraordinaire !!

This is definitely the go to place for pond building and pond maintenance. Brian is professional and does a fantastic job. He's earned his title of Fish Whisperer!

As others have commented, Brian does not have a concept on how to run a proper business, how to maintain a schedule, or how to commit to appointments or anything that he says. Furthermore, his work is poor at best requiring constant monitoring and follow-up repairs. The concept of doing the job right the first time is not something he seems to be familiar with whatsoever. Our pond is in terrible shape after his work, with constant collapsing walls and he has created a reputation for himself in never standing behind his word or keeping any appointments. We have been very tolerant up until now, but after asking him to do a simple pond opening and cleaning this year, we had enough of his constant conveyor belt of excuses as to why he couldn't show up subsequent to multiple rescheduled appointments - e.g. the heat, the rain, other jobs that took longer, etc. If you don't do what you say you will do in the business world, then as far as I am concerned, you have no place being in business. People need to be able to rely on and trust service providers, not work with people who just constantly disappoint and come up with excuses.He seemingly just takes what money he can get out of jobs and doesn't care about customer satisfaction in the least. We ended up cleaning our pond ourselves in under an hour (after draining) which normally takes him several hours, and yet he is supposedly a self-proclaimed expert in this area. I would definitely not recommend Brian or Serenity Ponds whatsoever. It is interesting that he had to give himself a 5-star review of his own business just to offset all of the negative reviews on here, which are all true.Thanks for the reply Brian. It only emphasizes your lack of maturity as others have pointed out so accurately. I never once expected to be first or to be prioritized, only expected that you'd show up when you said you would, but that was just far too much to ask of you.

Brian at Serenity Ponds helped us out big time - our pond had not been properly maintained from before we bought our house, and he educated me through every step of the process to ensure that the fish, frogs, and plants all live happy lives in our newly cleaned pond - spotless. His professional attitude is perfect and he's always willing to give unbiased advice. Whenever I need any service for my pond, I'm calling Serenity Ponds.

AVOID this company, they made my life a HELL...DIRTY, MESSY, don't have any idea about what they're doing? he cut wood inside my house then painted over the dust and dropped all the paint on my hardwood floor and left without cleaning it, he brought a 14 year old kid to stain my stairs ( it was so bad that I had to pay to another contractor to sand and stain again) he stole some of my supplies and tools. DO NOT TRUST this company...

My brother recommended Serenity Ponds and I was extremely impressed with the level of service I received. I will definitely be using them again for any pond maintenance I need.
