Best Budget Inn and Suites

Where do we start? Check-in was quick and easy. Parking is a challenge when you arrive late. It is an overnight stop on our way to the US and we thought it should be ok. We stayed for 6 hours and we couldn't stay any longer than that. The room is very old and not very clean. Not sure if all rooms are smoking rooms but you can definitely smell smoke in the room. The carpet is disgusting so make sure you always wear shoes. Washroom is very tiny but at least lots of hot water. We booked this room on our way back to Edmonton but cancelled it and booked somewhere else.

This place has seen much much better days. But it was cheap. So if you've just been wilderness camping and need a place to shower and crash for the night you might find this a step up.Garden beds were just pebbles. Empty flower pot might have held a live plant once.Pavement and carpark had cracks. Couldn't figure out what the large yellow cable in the pavement groove was for. Cigarette butt trays and tin cans needed to be replaced very badly.Carpet on the balcony area was dirty.Carpet in the bedroom felt icky. Glad I brought bedroom slippers.Hair dryer cord was very dirty. Yes it works.I often wonder with Covid clean and touch points, i wonder if hair dryers and their cords and handles ever get cleaned and tv remotes etc.Yes there is an iron and ironing board and yes there's a fridge and a TV.No hand towel hook or rail at all by the sink - remnants of one was there.Glass was dirty and I could see marks from previous user on it.People smoking downstairs right outside open windows of other guests ... Not sure what their smoking policy is in this place but I'm glad I wasn't in that room.On the plus side there is free tea and coffee until 10pm at reception.Air conditioner worked very well. Room was very nice and cool when we arrived and remained nice and cool all night long. Much appreciated.Sufficient towels. Shampoo was provided.Breakfast was waffles and 2 choices of cereal, several types of sliced bread,tea and coffee. There was just maple syrup, peanut butter and jam.The lady who was at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. She was probably the best thing in this place.There is a lovely view of the hills from the 2nd level.The two beds were very large. Comfortable enough - but as I was very tired, I slept like a log. I've been to worse where the bed creaked every time you moved - this one was nice and quiet.Linen looked and felt clean - unlike experiences of other guests. So I was glad.Shower and toilet were clean.But on the whole this place really needs a lot of work to bring it up to date. It's an extremely run down place now.Nice sunset views.Convenient location to restaurants and eateries.

Don’t stay here unless you want rusty bath pipes and dried urine on the bathroom wall. I wish I was kidding.. a + is that they were accommodating and got me another room, but that stuff should not happen to begin with. Cleanliness needs a serious upgrade or I can only see more complaints in the future.

Do Not Say Here! I just needed a bed for a few hours on my way through town. I came in late and the office locked up as soon as I walked out that door. The room was dark, dank, dusty with an AC that smelled like an old vacuum with stale cigarettes. Which is fine for what I needed it for, until I went through my bills a couple of weeks later. Noticing that my damage deposit was not return I called the office assuming an honest clerical error. Nope. They decided to steal the deposit without telling me, saying I smoked in the room. An obvious lie and laughable that I was accused of leaving the room In worse condition than I found it.Trying to rectify the situation directly I was met with disguising behaviour from the manager and staff. If you must stay here, keep your clothing on in those beds.

They were Excellent!!! The roads were horrible, we got in late, we had Bandit with us, every place we stopped for food was closed! Right off the side of the highway excelent location. They gave us a family a room late at night, we could even have Bandit (large Swiss Mountain Dog) also even emailed my receipt later for me! Hot showers, comfy bed, tea and TV. What else do you need?

Terrible experience. Front desk person didn't know what she was doing and looked out of it (night) then I was overcharged for room. Since checking person couldn't deal with it tried getting it fixed in morning. Morning front desk clerk also couldn't fix pricing issue (after we had a night of partiers right beside us, they forgot to clean original room that still had another person's stuff in it and we had to be moved after delaying checkin 2 hours after they said which was after check-in time). There is no pool/hot tub area and found out from other reviews they have no intention of fixing it.When owner was called to fix issue he proceeded to scream at me trying to call me a scammer after I tried explaining no one could fix price and I just wanted to pay the actual price without the $100 upcharge for no reason.Be wary if booking in person and not through online as they will try to sneak in extra charges and double your rate. Thankfully my bank was able to help me get it fixed but def not worthing going to again. 0/10 recommend, it was a shitshow even trying to get a cleaned" room and our room had dirty spots like handprints all over mirrors

Continental breakfast was bare minimum. Rooms were chilled , sink was clogged, toilet did not flush, hot water was barely hot. ...great location..

This is quite possibly the worst hotel I have ever ever ever stayed at. We got given a room that absolutely reeked of smoke, went back to the reception and got given another room that smelled very badly of smoke. There were people directly outside of the doors on both floors (looked like they were there long term) smoking constantly. No wonder the rooms smelled so bad. The only reason we stayed was because it was late at night and we had no other options at this point. I opened all the windows but couldn't sleep even 1 broken hour at night because the smell was so bad. Got out of bed at 5.30am, didn't even bother to take a shower, and literally ran out of this place. The only good thing about the place was the kind receptionist lady who tried to help us out but even she couldn't redeem this horrible hotel. Unless you don't mind the smell of smoke, I don't recommend staying in this place...

The room was tired. They had upgraded some things and others are in need. New flooring in room, however bathroom had a lot of cracked tiles. Sheets and bed cover were in terrific condition, blankets not so much. Some of the furniture also been upgraded. Where the room lacked the staff more than made up for. Very friendly and accommodating.

Our room....and not the one we requested... was very noisy, outdated, and not the cleanest. The front desk guy was not very helpful and if you don't have to stay here .. DONT! They would not put us in another room that didn't sound like there was a waterfall constantly going... he said it was the toilet tank filling.... constantly...really. for $170.00 you would think you would get a better room or at least some customer service! Horrible stay!
