Hemp 2000

I let brandy pierce my bottom lip and second nose piercing. When she pierced my lip, she asked me a question and whilst answering she pierced me… my lip was moving … so it wasn’t straight and I had to take it out a week later, As for my nose piercing, she used the wrong type of jewelry, she used a corkscrew stud which are not supposed to be used , they irritate the piercing, I have had 10 piercings that all healed perfectly by my piercer in Nanaimo, never pierced with a corkscrew. But of course she did, 3 days after , as expected, it fell out, everytime I sneezed it almost fell out … so I hadn’t noticed it fallen out until later on. When I did notice I contacted the store, they couldn’t get me in for 3 days. So I waited, of course waiting I had to get it re pierced…. Had she used the proper jewelry that wouldn’t have happened , so then I was charged a re piercing fee and a jewelry fee.. I wouldn’t have had an issue paying for new jewelry but paying to be re pierced when she pierced me with the wrong thing, my piercing was irritated for weeks by the corkscrew and almost developed an infection because it kept moving, I have never experienced a piercer who is obviously more motivated by money then by helping people get the piecings they really want. I then went back and paid for a “Sterling silver” hoop. I went back to Nanaimo a couple months later to see my piercer, he was absolutely shocked by the way the piercing had been done. He took the hoop to do a process called anodizing , this changes the colour of the silver with electric currents, well low and behold it would not change colour, because it is not real sterling silver. Every person I meet with a piercing from Brandi at hemp has keloid bumps, infections, they just look horrendous an painful. I guess if you want a simple lobe piercing you might be safe but otherwise Hemp 2000 is a complete and total rip off and a joke of a piercing shop. The fact that everyone in town has no idea how much malpractice happens here shocks me. I wish there was someone who was actually passionate about piercing and took the time to learn the skills, but that clearly can not be found at hemp. It is 100% worth it to travel if you want a piercing. I refuse to ever step foot into this place again, and I will continue to tell my story to everyone in this town because it is down right wrong to run a shop in this manor. Do better, I heard so many good things about Dan and how amazing he was…… things have not been held up that way, that’s very clear.

I am disgusted with how rudely I was treated today at hemp 2000,The store owner had stepped out and it was just too young females working one named Hannah and the other April Cox.I called the day before to schedule an appointment around the same time as my friends appointment (1:30pm) April rudely commented that I was 45 minutes early and I had to wait until 1:30 I respectfully told her that the lady on the phone had told me to come in earlier and I was wondering about that, April rudly repliedwell there's no pearcer in rn so" and I re arched her that I was not trying to come across as rude i was just trying to understand what the plan is. We left retuining 15 min before 1:30 to find another girl that said her name was hanna

The woman was so professional and funny. She was so fast it didn't even hurt, and even gifted me free jewelry for another piercing, and helped me change it. My septum healed faster than any other piercing I've had and I am super happy. Thanks!!

Amazing experience! Got my daughter's ears pierced here and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. My daughter had some good laughs and the lady who pierced her ears was so great with kids. Quick clean and professional! 100% recommend!

The piercer was amazing with me and my friend. My friend was very nervous and had anxiety about her piercings but the lady did amazing .. thank you we will be back again

Both my kids have gone here for various piercings and absolutely love the service. They are very courteous and caring in ensuring they know what they are getting and are comfortable with the process and after care. We will not go anywhere else, we love it there !

I absolutely love Brandy, she will forever be the only piercer I use. She is quick, precise and excellent at making distracting conversation. My piercings are always perfectly placed, quickly done and as painless as one can expect. The girls there are always so helpful when it comes to selecting jewelry and answering questions about aftercare. 100/10.
