In the city of Halifax there are many religious organizations who expect you to pay money to their cause in order to have access to their Buddhist teachings. This temple does accept donations, but they will never ask or expect you to do so. They practice truly authentic Buddhism at the temple, the Master is very welcoming regardless of your age or cultural background. All are welcome, if you are looking for a place to practice and learn authentic, true Buddha dharma, this is most definitely the place to do so !

Hands down the best zen Buddhist temple I have ever been to, it is very clean/well kept & the statues are majestic. The abbot is an authentic zen master who leads the life of a humble monk, following the precepts and practicing what he preaches. Donations are accepted, but not expected (unlike most religious organizations). It is currently closed to the public due to coronavirus, but once things return to normal I highly recommend checking this temple out. If I could give it 6 stars I most certainly would. Namo Amitabha !
