Salty is in the name. If you have a salt restriction this isn't the place for you. Even my sodium junkie husband said his steak in his surf n turf tacos was really salty. Otherwise the other seasonings used made everything delish. I have to be careful on my sodium so this was a one time deal for me.

The food we ordered was incredible! My husband loves his calamari and he said this is the BEST he’s had! Loved our experience here. Only thing, there was a ‘fishy’ smell inside due to the nearby oven - baking all sort of sea foods and such, but that’s normal given the diversity of their menu.

A few of us dined in at Salty Dogs this past weekend not only was the service awesome the food and prices were AMAZING!!!! We're all literally still talking about it and tasting the food. We had the lobster tacos, surf and turf tacos, calamari, and macaroni lobster and it was soooo good. Too bad we live 4hrs away but we'll definitely be back!!

Great food. Lots of gluten free options. Had lobster and steak tacos with lettuce wraps instead of the flout tortilla. Other pic is the roasted beet salad which the person loved. They also have GF pizza crust.

Have been here multiple times, it's the family's favorite place in Amherstburg. Always a great experience.I can't get enough of the tacos, especially the lobster, or surf and turf. Mussels are a must also. Steak frites are good, but make sure you ask for them rare to medium rare.The wood oven pizza is very aromatic, although not the greatest pizza out there, but totally worth it and size is like a Domino's large.Portions are generous, and prices are about $20-30 per person without drinks.It's close to the water in Amherstburg, there is some free street parking, but when the town is busy in the summer, it's harder to find a spot close by.It's a small business, not too many tables, during the summer the patio is open allowing for more seating.

Very crowded. Called ahead to advise we were on the way. They don’t take reservations. We were offered a high top table right at the door where everyone has to pass by. We asked to wait for a regular table. We then were asked to wait outside. It was cold and miserable outside. I would suggest the restaurant remove a few tables right by the door to allow for a small waiting area or a proper bar area where someone can get drinks while they wait for a table. We ended up leaving. We were disappointed after driving in from Belle River.

Awesome environment, great food and reasonable prices. Service is always excellent. Lori is always such a pleasure to deal with...always has been. Whether you are looking for an awesome dining experience or just a few casual drinks, this is the place to be in the town of Amherstburg.
