We ordered 2 chicken combos, which gave us the opportunity to try all 4 chicken flavours. In order of my preference: curry, fried, bbq, jerk. To be fair though, by the time we tried the jerk our taste buds were reeling from the previous 3 experiences! The rice was exquisite and all 4 chicken flavours were also worth ordering again. So glad they’re finally open (we’ve been watching for months now) and we’ll definitely be back and highly recommend to everyone.

Thank you Patrick and “D” for a great meal. The food was superb and well plated. And our server “D” was a joy and playful. My jerk chicken plate was well balanced with enough heat to be enjoyed but not so much that you need a throat soother. Rice and peas was delish. Thanks again. If you like a touch of heat and a traditional Jamaican palate, give Xaymaca a try!

It only took one bite to confirm we'll be returning for more delicious food! Loved the custom furnishings, the cuisine was excellent and the staff was friendly. Highly recommend Xaymaca for a worthwhile change of pace!

It is so nice to have a place like this in the neighbourhood. It took forever for it to open and we finally got in to try the food. I had the jerk chicken and goat curry combo and it was all delicious. Just the right amount of spice to make for an enjoyable Jamaican meal. I will be back to try some of the other items on the menu. Nice location and great friendly staff.

Friendly service and excellent food! We had 2 combos, jerk chicken and curry goat, and BBQ chicken and oxtail. We were not waiting long at all for our food. First time eating goat and oxtail and both were very tasty and so tender. We also had the beef patty. Not overly spicy, just enough to make you sweat a little. Highly recommend this place if you want to try something interesting, we will definitely be back!

If you’re looking for great food and a Jamaican experience in the HRM, Xaymaca is here!We shared a few laughs with Ryan last night before digging into our meal. He’s so friendly and welcoming, he made us feel like family!The food is fantastic and we did NOT leave hungry. Their portions are large and yes…they have bottles of Red Stripe.They’ve got Island food, an ice cream stand in the summer, and possibly a beer garden in the future?! We’ve been looking forward to their opening, and we’re happy to have a new neighbour in the area. PS - we’ll be back to try the Caribbean Boil!Edit: we went back for the Boil. It was amazing. You’ve gotta try it!

Had some great jerk chicken dishes yesterday. The staff were super friendly as well. Loving that I finally tried this place. We'll be back again soon.Thus far its been the best jerk I've had in the city. Not overpriced and good portions.
