Hertz Car Rental - Montreal Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport

An endless scandal.Rent a car in Canada for 10 days.When I return it, they check that everything was ok (fuel, damage). Everything was ok, full fuel (full done a few minutes before the return) I leave the keys and go away.I come back from vacation and after a few days I find a charge of €221!!!I write to the car rental company and they tell me that the charge is due to the fact that I returned the car without petrol !!! But how?! Scandal, thieves.After several emails and a lot of wasted time, I demonstrate through bank transactions and through the petrol station receipt that the tank has been filled up a few minutes before the return.Well, they finally admit the mistake with an apology and give me back the wrongly withheld amount.Now the fun part.... 2 weeks go by and what happens?! Again they charge me the amount of €221!!! Incredible, outrageous. I've already reported it to the Fraud office and this time I'm going to go through the law.A mistake can happen but, given the reviews of all the customers, these companies are real criminal associations and someone should do something to stop it!

The service I received at the Hertz Counter in Montreal YUL Airport was tremendous after being affected by flight delays on April 5 during the ice storm in Montreal. Not only that, Peter Kliamenakis took care of providing me a vehicle that suited my needs. He also went above and beyond in understanding the situation I was put in by the airlines. Peter took the time and patience to listen to me and, in the end, made me very happy. For the record, I ended up in Tesla, which I didn't get want in the first place, and convinced me to try it out at a preferred rate. Well, that decision convinces me to consider purchasing a Tesla. We need more people like Peter in this industry. His level of excellence, attention to detail, and kind considerations to my matters truly portrayed the definition of what customer service is looked at. Recently rented an intermediate car at this location and although the staff was friendly, they were also slow. I first walked into the check in area to see 2 very long lines. There was no reason for 2 lines and one line was barely moving. As for Gold Members which I am not, there was only 1 employee to help the Gold Members and you would think if they were Members they would have faster service. After being in line for about 40 minutes it was finally my turn. I carried out the paperwork and was told to have a seat because it would be another 30 minutes before I get the car. I waited 45 minutes before getting the keys to the car. Why schedule the rental for that time if the car isn't ready? I don't see myself going back to them because this isn't the first time I had issues.

I would give 0 stars if I could.They make you pay for the car ahead of time, which we did. And the email says 60 upon arrival, no mention of a 350$ down-payment OR that the ID must be the same name as the license.The men on the counter were really nice, though I won't lie, I do think they could have made an exception considerering the car rental place next to them was willing to (but was too expensive)Called to cancel, the woman told me to ask if there was someone here who's lisence and credit card I could use, which would be illegal since I would be the one driving, not that there is anyone I know here since I'm traveling for medical reasonsI had to argue to have the cancelation fee taken off, was told they would do it as a 'one time luxery' (it'll only have to be the one time because we won't be attempting again lol)So yeah, we didn't get a car... you might not either, so be prepared yknow. Just in case...

I had some concerns before picking up the car due to not-so-great reviews on Google. My flight was delayed by two hours on the same day, but when I arrived at the counter, the staff had already prepared the keys for me. I chose the Tesla Model Y and rented the SR version, and I have to say the entire car rental process was nothing short of perfect. Supercharging was incredibly convenient, and you don't even have to worry about payment as it's taken care of when returning the car.

I always have a great experience with Hertz. From the time I got to the counter, Mike was very kind, understanding, professional, and made me feel like a valuable customer. I needed a car during a stressful time, and he lightened the mood with his jokes and made sure I got a great and comfortable car... and with barely any wait time! He definitely went above and beyond; and I am sincerely appreciative. You're the best, Mike! I definitely will be renting from Hertz in the near future.

The car rental hall is within the airport complex and very easy to get to. The Hertz counter was a smooth and fast experience. My car keys were labeled and waiting with my name on it. I also received a welcome upgrade to the Tesla Y instead of my rented Tesla 3. Thanks guys!The return was seamless, got my emailed bill before I had made it to the terminal. Great rental experience.

I have a feeling they’re not fond of anyone that doesn’t speak French here. Bringing the car back was a bit difficult too because on the paper the address for “return” is not the actual return location. It’s another 15-20 minute detour. Please be careful on returning the vehicle and being strain for time.

Worst customer service. Had a reservation for when we landed, had to wait in line for an hour just to speak to an agent. We were then told we have to wait an hour for the car as they did not have one ready for us even though we had a reservation. Person who inspected car for damage was rude and did not go over it with us. They over charged us for the fuel even though we asked for the Fuel Purchase Option. When I completed the survey I mentioned everything above and the manager (Jose) of the location emailed us about the fuel but did not correct the price, I responded we requested FPO and his email did not address the horrible customer service. He never responded.I do not recommended Hertz at YUL. I’ve never used it any other time but if this is their standards you might as well take an uber.

The ppl in counter are terribly slow,Taking more than 20 mins for 1 person,It took 1 hour to come from Toronto butIt’s taking more than 1 hr to rent a car for hertz, that too not in a peak hour
