I visited the Embassy today for my visa. The process was super smooth and the lady works there is very co-operative. She was proactive and well-responsive. A big thank you for dealing with the people like the way you do.

The embassy staff was very kind and I applied for a Visa on 14/April/2023 and I did not bring a self addressed xpress envelope. she was very kind enough to guide me. I got my visa within 4 working days mail back to me. The service was very fast quick and professional.Thank you

Their hours are too short and they are too picky with documents. They rejected my official birth certificate because they didn't have my parents' birthdays written on it. I called the province of Quebec and they told me that they don't put that information on their official documents if the person was born before 1994. They also rejected my translated documents because the stamp was from an official translator in Montreal whereas it has to be translated by the minister of justice in Poland. So I wasted: money, time and gas. They are not specific enough in their website and phone conversations. I called them twice to confirm that I have all the documents before I make the trip to Ottawa.

Make sure to come in early before the opening hours. You can end up waiting in a long queue and if you arrive too late and there's no guarantee they'll be able to serve you.As of writing this post, 21 April 2023: The only payment method was cash. There is also a chance that they won't be able to give you a change. Be prepared.As of 21 April 2023 (that's the date when the picture was taken), the operation hours are included in the picture.

I had documents validated at the Embassy consular section. The staff are courteous and efficient. The consular officer took the time to research and consult with colleagues in Toronto as my case was complicated and provided me with excellent advice that saved me time. Waiting times were very reasonable. Less than 10 minutes. The Polish Embassy consular section is also accessible by phone to answer questions. Many consular sections of other countries and Canadian federal government offices don’t answer their phones. During Covid the Polish Embassy Consular Section remained open for drop in clients.I wish that were the case with Global Affairs Canada’s document authentication office. It has been closed for almost two years! And it takes a month for Global Affairs to authenticate documents by mail. This compares to twenty minutes walk in service at Ontario Government document legalization office 222 Jarvis Street Toronto. I couriered my documents to a friend in Toronto who walked in got them authenticated right away and couriered them back to me in Ottawa the same day. I then had them validated at the Polish Embassy the following day, simply walking in. The whole process took two days compared to well over a month had I used Global Affairs Canada’s service. And Global Affairs charges much more than the Ontario Government for this dismal service.Bravo to the Polish Embassy consular section and the Ontario Ministry of Justice document office for making things work during these difficult times! Both offices are responsive, answer phones if you have questions and offer efficient, courteous in person service. Shame shame shame on Global Affairs Canada.I am a retired Global Affairs Canadian diplomat. I was head of post at a Canadian consulate overseas where we has a consular section. There is no excuse for such horrible service from Global Affairs Canada.Canada should be helpful in delivering this essential service especially since Canada is not signatory to the international Apostle convention. Most countries are. But instead Global Affairs Canada makes document legalization impossibly difficult.In my case I was selling property in Poland and needed a power of attorney authenticated and legalized. Had I relied on Global Affairs to authenticate the document there is no way I would have been able to complete the sale of my property on time. But thanks to the incredible service of the Polish Embassy consular section and the Ontario government, I was able to complete the sale. Thank-you!

Trying to call for weeks. No answer. Appointments for visa in Toronto are full for till Nov. I want to book.a Appointment in Ottawa. Email days I must book.in toronto. As a polish citizen this is a total joke. I have my sisters wedding to attend and my partner needs a visa. Bad service. No voice mail call backs. I think Poland should provide better service to.their citizens for basic needs like visa for their partners.
