Swan Lake Outdoor Education Centre | York Region District School Board | The Swan Lake Outdoor Education Centre (SLOEC) is located near the Oak Ridges Community Centre and Lake Wilcox, and sits on the beautiful Oak Ridges Moraine. The Centre is operated in conjunction with the Toronto Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) and through our agreement with the TRCA, students are able to use the adjacent property.

Swan Lake Outdoor Education Centre
Well, the lake is so peaceful, there was no swans (yet). We did not visit the community center but went for a walk in the adjoining forest instead, lots of fresh air, look at the forest floor the Trilliums are in bloom, so pretty this was my first time to see live trilliums.

Swan Lake Outdoor Education Centre
The Swan Lake centre and surrounding trails are closed to the public. Only school groups are allowed access to the facility and surrounding trails.

Swan Lake Outdoor Education Centre
A well put together program. Gina and Amber are knowledgeable and engaging. Our class kids had a blast and especially loved the scavenger hunt and being able to touch the fur of real animals. Well done ladies!
