I recently visited Wimpy's Diner for the first time, and I have to say that it was not a positive experience. The prices were high and did not seem justified for what was offered. For instance, a medium milkshake priced at $8, including tax, felt overpriced considering the overall quality and size of the shake.Moreover, the food itself was disappointing. The potatoes were undercooked and hard, which is unacceptable for a diner-style establishment. Additionally, the spinach egg dish lacked taste and flavor, leaving it bland and unappealing. The waffles were also soggy.I placed the order online and still had to wait in store for my meal to be cookedConsidering the expensive prices and the subpar quality of the food, I would not recommend Wimpy's Diner based on my experience. There are likely other dining options available that provide better value for money and offer tastier and well-prepared dishes. It's worth exploring alternatives that prioritize both quality and affordability for a more satisfying dining experience.

2 adults, 4 kids. Was asked to stand at the door and wait by the waitress, stood there for 15 minutes with 4 hungry kids before the other waitress said we could sit at the big booth in the back that was clean and empty the whole time we stood there.Waitress came over apologizing saying there was only 2 wait staff and training new people in the kitchen.Ordered food for the kids, both adults ordered chicken parm. Waitress came back to tell us there was no chicken, tried to order steak before she told us they didn’t have that either. Ended up with fish that was deep fried with cardboard!!!The waitress that tended to us was great and honestly probably sick of this place. We tipped HER $20 when the other waitress seen she was trying to be nice and thanking us! Really hope they don’t split tips there.NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN! Worst restaurant experience of my life!

Amazing place! The food is what you expect for a decent diner, the prices were not bad at all and the service was very friendly and fast! They should add more pickles to the burger, but meh, nothing to complain about! 10/10 would go back!

Won't listen to simple requests. This is the second time I've asked to have the hollandaise only on the side, and it arrived completely BURIED in nasty butter sauce. There's more butter on this than I would use in 20 years combined!!! Pictured here is what I was able to scrape off, but it was still inedible. I could've just taken that money and burnt it and saved my veins the horrendous task of trying to clear the pound of butter from the 2 bites I did take. Looks like I'm not the only one upset about the food here. Your cook clearly doesn't care whether you sink or swim. I suggest you lose them before you lose the entire restaurant. It's not personal, it's business.

Always love getting the waffles here, the maple syrup is great, too. Good staff, good options, great prices. I always find it a little cramped and busy, but I do enjoy the occasional breakfast here.

The last time we ate at Wimpys it was in Barrie. I came to this location in Chatham to get food for take out. It seemed to take forever to get our order. Two milkshakes were given to me 15 minutes before the rest of the order was ready. Youd think they would time making a frozen drink closer to when the order was complete. Needless to say the shakes were watery by the time I got to the car. My poutine was warm but not hot by any means. Not enjoyable to eat. The worst was the onion rings. An ample serving size. But at the first bite my wife spit it out. They were still frozen inside and quite cold in others.I was really disappointed at the quality of the food for the cost. 2 large burgers, onion rings, warmish poutine and 2 watery shakes =$50. I doubt think we will go back anytime soon. You can compare this review to the one I made for the Wimpys in Barrie. I give real honest reviews with no bias. Hopefully this will encourage better service.

We ate here for the first time on Sunday (01/29/23). We were seated quickly, our drink order was taken at that time. The waitress was quick to take our order even though we had barely enough time to look over the menu. Food was amazing. Portion sizes ranged from perfect to OMG that's a lot of food. We would definitely eat here again.

Stopped in for breakfast on the long weekend to grab some breakfast! Wimpys is the only place in town that is open on Labour Day or Boxing day & the line up out the door every time proves itIt’s a typical diner with a purposeful dive feel to it which I love!The waitresses are ALWAYS on top of their game & run the restaurant properly. They are so friendly but quick & efficient.Portion sizes are great & the menu is quite large!The breakfast poutine is my go to & their Benny is very good also! The food is pretty on par with what you’d expect at a diner like this & cost is decent for the portions you get.
