Shrimp dumplings are fresh! I mean fresh! It does not taste frozen or sour shrimp like any other Dim sum restaurants in Calgary. (Including those ones that are highly rated) it's the most basic things Dim Sum places can do well and did worse. But T.Pot did it right.Other Dim sum are good, not the best. But much better than any other places in the city.

Everything was alright here for our lunch. Nothing bad and nothing exceptional. Facilities were clean and modern-esque with lots of seating. Wasn’t too busy when we went so no wait. On this occasion though, all the food tasted good but the non-steamed dishes seemed to be missing abit more blast of “wok hay” and the steamed dishes felt a tad over done. It was like everything was cooked to 95% and served or the steamed dishes were 30 secs over. Thus some items were softer and a bit more oily than anticipated like the rice or the Chinese donut in the rice roll. Shrimp spring rolls were crispy though.

The photo of the Malaysian curry combo in the menu looked so appealing that we thought we should give it a try. We chose seafood for the protein in the curry. It did not taste as good as the photo looked but it wasn't bad. The seafood was deep-fried and the curry tasted like generic curry...kind of a mix of Portuguese sauce and Japanese curry without all the Malaysian spices.The wonton noodle, on the other hand, met our expectations and was true to the menu photo. There were whole shrimps inside the wontons and the noodles were perfectly al dente.This is a good stop for a quick bite. The staff are efficient and friendly enough. I think next time, we may stick to the HK-Cafe style type offerings and not to try the non-Chinese exotic items.

Always busy there during lunch hour. But the staff there are keep everything under control. You probably need to wait a bit for table if you don’t have reservations. You can order Dim Sum or anything from their regular menu. Dim Sum I believe is only serving until 2:30-3pm. Because the volume of customers everyday their food is prepared freshly. We love try their Dim Sum not too savoury compared to other Dim Sum place in Calgary. Recommend chicken feet, pork rib, shao mai, and their buns and pastry is worth to try too.

Flavour is really good, TPot is always a classic, reliable place to go to for amazing tastes! The only downside is the speed, our dishes ended up coming one at a time very slowly to the point where we would only be eating one dish at a time, finish one dish and the next one would come.

Half HK cafe, half dim sum in one place.You can order food from both places on the same table. Not surprised to see people had lemon tea with shrimp dumplings.

The dim sum at this restaurant is exceptional, and the portion size exceeds expectations. The quality of the food is excellent especially the turtle-shaped salted egg York custard pineapple bun.
