School administrator

I’m very upset at the fact they don’t cancel school when it is very dangerous. At points THE SIDEWALK ISNT EVEN PLOWED AND YOU HAVE TO WALK ON THE ROAD, that should be a huge concern when the sidewalks aren’t plowed, but it genuinely feels like they don’t keep children that need to walk to school in mind a lot of the times. Last year I was on Main Street in Dartmouth and nearly got ran over by an 18 wheeler because the sidewalks were just snowbanks and the school board still wanted the schools to be open. It was genuinely traumatizing and I get anxiety attacks in the morning before I have to walk to school in snowy weather, I may not even go in the end because I get too stressed out. I just hope that they realize and maybe even see this and understand that it can be FATAL to not keep students who have to walk in mind when deciding to open schools in awful conditions. Not everyone has the luxury of getting a car ride everyday or having a school bus take them to school.

The people I work with are my kind of crazy.

This school board is the most disorganized out of the 3 school boards I’ve had to deal with in the last 3 years. One was out of province. The 2 I’ve dealt with in BC have been hard to deal with! So many bullies in this province. Hard to get anyone to listen to concerned parent let alone do anything about it. Things need to change. So much crime and bullying at the schools. #bcgovernmentneedstochangethis

They got so paranoid about internet usage within schools that they blocked wikipedia. Not only Wikipedia though. Many valid sources have been blocked. All this does is create devide, as students who can afford mobile data can get their projects done using high quality sources and then students who can't afford it can't use the high quality sources and have to work harder to find unblocked sources.Edit: unblocked now

My daughter has two concussions in the last ten months . Our school seems to take this lightly as I have spoken with the principal and ask for help and a buddy to be with her and receive nothing. My daughter receives smart a.. comments from professionals oh were you off from your concussion again. A couple of her teachers were not even spoken to for knowledge of this happening at school This makes my child feel like nobody listens there or really cares for that matter. I have no issues with her doing all her exams but for the principal to say to her that she wouldn't be exempt because it is not fair to the kids that had colds and flu !! WOW A LITTLE DIFFERENT.. Hopefully The District School Board of Niagara get on board and get their principals on board of Concussions and how seriously they really are. My child did not chose this to happen and is a great person and student so may you all have some professionalism when comparing and speaking. Thank you Mary Moore
