Salaheddin Islamic Centre
My children went to some top Islamic schools in GTA (based on the ranking of TDSB and Fraser), however, the sad reality is, all these money making machines are Muslim schools instead of Islamic schools, they do excel in secular education, but, they fail in cultivating Islamic identity. It was for this reason, I went to Salaheddin, since they have their priorities right, religion is given precedence over secular education without any compromise. Students are suspended or expelled on bullying or bad behaviour, something with any high-end Islamic school is lagging behind since they need continuous cash-flow. Salaheddin put great emphasis on manners and behaviour to raise religiously educated and practising Muslims those are capable of leading the community. Principal, admin and staff is very productive, knowledgeable and has vision for your children to achieve. Every person or institution has its pros and cons, but Salaheddin has so much good to offer to young minds and hearts that I being a responsible parent have never regretted my decision, may we have more people and institutions like Salaheddin whose primary concern is to make your child a better Muslim and human - in sha Allah.

It is a nice school, but the gym bathrooms need to be cleaned better.

The playground slide has been broken and closed for months, making this school feels more rundown than it already is.

Dave's World of Adventures
I placed my son Ethan in Dave’s snowboarding classes this winter and he looks forward to going every week. Dave focuses on positivity and building confidence. He is very hands on and builds trust in his students. Because of his teaching style, Ethan was able to find his toe edge and easily glided down the hill on his own without any help within 2 lessons! He has never been on a snowboard before! I would highly recommend these lessons to anyone!

The teachers here are really great, and it's easy to feel like they care about you. I'm not just saying that because it sounds good - they really helped me become a better student with their time and dedication.

Little Hero Kid's Champ LTD.
Little Heroes is a great toddler play and activity program. If you want to have fun with your little one while helping them to learn how to be patient, interact with other kiddos and build confidence in a safe environment, this place is great!Don’t expect to sit on the sidelines and browse your phone! I love that Little Heroes requires the parent or guardian to be engaged with their kids, affirm them when they learn to wait their turn and follow directions. I have seen first hand at least two toddlers kids with separation anxiety open up and run around having so much fun with their parents and other kids within a few classes.I take my 2 and 4 year old boys every week when I can because each week’s theme is different and I get quite excited myself in anticipation of seeing them have so much fun. Try a drop in session and see for yourself!
