Malaysian restaurant

Shame this little gem seems to have closed down. The food was fantastic, although their practice of being open when they felt like it and not adhering to regular hours likely contributed to their closing.

I have to say it is the best Hainanese Chicken I’ve ever had.

Inflation hits hard. There are barely any meat /protein content in the meal. Just fried rice with some canned frozen pineapple mixed in. Overpriced

I’ve never had a bad meal here! The service is excellent and the food is amazing. Super flavourful and a wide variety to choose from. They have a cool server robot and their sauces are addictive

Mek’s Delight was recommended by a friend when we llwere discussing about Halal restaurant for South East Asian food. Interior was simple & clean, there’s only 5 tables in the restaurant, so come early or call them first. Parking was plentiful at the back of the restaurant. The place is run by a husband & wife team, wife is from Kelantan, Malaysia & hubby is from Thailand. Hence the combination of Malaysian & Thai food. Very friendly & attentive service despite a 2 person team. We ordered fried rice with fried chicken, Nasi Lemak (coconut rice), Chicken Briyani, Mee Goreng,& Rendang. The flavour of the dishes was spot on, the fried chicken was extremely tasty, the flavour went right into the meat with a crispy skin. Who doesn’t like crispy chicken skin? The Chicken Briyani was good, even better with the small bowl of curry that comes with the Briyani rice. Mee Goreng was authentically yummy! I am going to order that the next time. The coconut rice (Nasi Lemak), the rice was so fragrant, it is cooked with lemongrass which gives off a very lovely smell beside the taste. The beef Rendang was expensive but so… worth it, you can taste that it is made from scratch.. the beef was so tender that it melts in your mouth, we ordered a side of rice to go with it… such a marriage made in your mouth. We also ordered Thai iced tea & tea tarik… We will be back!

Ordered two mains and was very disappointed. The Sambal beans and prawns had no spice, were bland and the smell was so off putting I couldn’t eat them. Hubbie got the Szechuan beef and broccoli which had no flavour or spice. Both dishes were hot and the veggies were fresh but that’s the only good thing I can say about them.

We've ordered twice now and we are really impressed! Great flavour, great value. Happy to have this great addition to our neighborhood!Today we had the Singapore Laksa (with extra fish balls... I love that you can add extra for a reasonable upcharge!), Fresh chicken cold rolls, and pineapple fried rice. So delicious, and definitely one order is enough for a generous dinner and lunch the next day.

Went there for take out for the first time. Tom Yum soup was good and tasty, could be spicier but Ingredients were plentiful with a lot of shrimps. Pad Thai was bland. Needed to add salt and hot sauce myself to be more flavourful. Also the beef was charged extra, never had that happen before. The dish also comes with the small platter of spring roll and skewers that are quite dry and hard. Lastly the mango salad was okay but just a bit on the sweet side. Probably a one and done for me here.

Super tender hainanese chicken, really rich and creamy chicken curry and nice spicy flavourful laksa especially for the price. Don’t sleep on this. Also a big fan of their lychee fruit tea. So refreshing

I went and got the Pho House SpecialIt was ok. Nothing special.For $15.95 I expected more meat and was overall underwhelmed.The photo shows all the meat I got in a Large.
