Tangle Creek

Golf was great. Food at club house HORRIBLE!!!!! Had baked Brie which was barely baked, topped with burnt bacon and stale toasted bread. Also ordered Cobb salad which was good except bacon was basically raw!!!!! Would never eat there again.

Great track! Fairways and greens were in pretty good shape for being the end of the season. Tee blocks were a bit worn. Played as a single for a front 9 (really the back because I started on 10) and I flew through the course. Joined a twosome for the back and was waiting at every single hole. All the staff were very friendly. I would play again in hopes the pace of play would be better just because it is such a beautiful course.

This course features, drive up drop off bag and cart with GPS waiting for you with booked tee time. An additional range cart is also provided for complimentary driving range, chipping and putting green. This is a championship golf course with lots of undulating fairways and greens. Some distances are deceptive and the wind and elevation play a significant part in club selection...majority of times clubbing up 2 !! Overall a challenging 72 course with the best 19th hole in Barrie. If you want to get 'tangled' this is the premier course to be on for sure !!!

Played this course in Early August, the weather was ok and the course itself was in good shape. You get to hit some balls off the range before your tee off which I like as it saves you from hitting the proverbial breakfast ball. The tee decks are grass at the range which I think is perfect for warming up.This track will run long from the tips if you are a big hitter but even from the closer tees you will have your fair amount of challenges to navigate.There are a couple blind tee shots which after you hit you wish you had the view of your second shot before, which is always the case playing the first time. We just returned again this year (2022/Jul) and this course is still a great place. Well maintained and friendly staff, weather was better this time so we stayed on the patio after.

Greens were quick and challenging, hadn’t played the course since pre-CV19, it is maturing well. Staff was accommodating and very efficient, and breakfast was great! For a semi-public course you can’t go wrong choosing to play there, it’s got it all!

Played tangle creek last week. I booked by calling the pro shop. The nice lady that took my call was super helpful and accommodating. We booked a twosome. On the day of, we were teamed with two people. One being an elderly lady. Our progress was relatively slow at times but for the most part we kept up. Occasionally a couple shots behind the group ahead of us. On our 8 th the marshal advised we had to speed up play. He was really nice/polite about it but it was obvious why we were slow at times. Not sure why our twosome got advised, when tangle grouped us with two strangers and one may have been to source of our slow play.( she was doing her absolute best). It kinda threw my day off because common sense should have prevailed. Was I supposed to push the stranger I was paired with??The course is in good shape and tangle is always a challenge. Will continue to play there.

What an amazing course. Very challenging. The greens are unreal - I don’t think there was a single flat green to putt on. Plays longer then it says. Rough is super thick. Very hilly. The course is in great shape and the staff were wonderful. We also grabbed some lunch at the club house and the food was fantastic. Would definitely come back for another round!

I just want to give a shout out and many thanks to Christina Dunsmore, the wedding coordinator there. I also want to thank her team as well. She is absolutely wonderful! From beginning to end, she was helpful and responded to all of our concerns. I highly recommend her and Tangle Creek if you’re looking for an outdoor venue for a wedding.The food prepared during reception was also lovely. The guests really enjoyed the steak! You can tell they take care of the course and the guests took wonderful outdoor shots during the wedding and reception.Thank you so much Christina !

Great course with some challenging holes. Interesting layout with elevated tees. Greens were teired but fair and in good shape.
