Sherwood Park Preschool

My wife and I have had a fantastic experience with Sherwood Park Preschool. Our two year old daughter has been attending for several months now. She loves it and often chats about her friends, teachers, and activities at the school.Their orientation program for new entries is excellent -- the child spends time visiting with a parent and then is gradually introduced to their program over a period of several days. This greatly helped our daughter with her adjustment period. All of the caregivers have early child education degrees or some form of formal training and you can really tell they genuinely care about the children.The school has a well-kept fenced-in backyard with plenty of toys. They typically go outside at least once a day, weather permitting. The rooms themselves have plenty of windows (and beautiful skylights for the 3+ year old room) as well as a large bathroom with adorable toddler-sized toilets and sinks. They spend their day creating crafts, reading, singing, playing with toys, and other fun toddler activities. Our daughter seems to really enjoy the food too and we get daily reports on the snacks and meals provided to the children.We've never seen the teachers using any electronic devices, which is great. And they don't plaster their Facebook with photos of the kids -- my wife and I appreciate the respect for our privacy. All sharing is done by a secure app (which also provides a summary of their day and important notes for the parents).All in all we've been extremely pleased with our experience at Sherwood and would highly recommend the preschool to our friends and family!
