Minto Mahogany | New Homes Sales Centre

Mahogany is a nice place to live in. The sales crew especially Fran was amazing. Everything after that was attrocious. The design team pays zero attention to your selections and any attempt to rectify mistakes receive no response, and no interest. Moved-in December 2021 with more than 120 issues on the Tarion 30-day Warranty list. Uncompleted roof, leaking garage with mold, limited insulation in the attic, all back sills wrongly installed. Majority of sills level instead of sloped, and others sloping towards the house causing water build-up and efflorescence on the brick wall. Non-functioning weep holes, back brick wall on a new home looks like a 90-year old house. Director says I should read about efflorescence online. Contractor signed-off that repairs were completed without even showing up once and Minto approved. Paint job horrific - one coat of paint. Baseboards all trash, and the poorest sand job ever with nail-pop all over and visible bubbles on the walls. All construction dirt and metal pieces abandoned in the vent, and no clean up to date since December move-in. Broken windows, no mosquito net on the patio door. Have three children who were all constantly beaten by mosquitoes for 3 months and Minto doesn’t care. Master-care rep worst than a pawn shop dealer. No show trades, cancelled appointments and bunch of lies everyday. Amount of stress dealing with Minto…. mentally exhausting.

Excellent model homes with $200K upgrades, which we have to pay from my pocket. For Preium lot, I have to pay $200K to $300 extra. So, overall $500K extra for listed price.

Not a fan of them trying to sell a home based on virtual tour. They should have the option of both, like many builders. I understand due to COVID-19, but it is extremely easy to enforce social distancing by booking in one couple at a time. If it is in person, other builders such as Caivan and Richcraft are already reopen, or you can choose to do virtual. Who buys a $700,000 home based on an internet tour? Insane.

Nice homes; however there is no quality management during production resulting in poorly built homes and finishes. This wouldn't be so much of an issue; however Minto does not have enough staff on had to address post delivery repairs nor does it have enough influence over trades to repair or replace poor quality workmanship. Its frustrating to see, as this could be mitigated with simple on site quality control and enforcing holdbacks on trade contracts. Instead Minto wishes to waste their time and money on being reactive to quality issues while not meeting simple expectations of the new home buyer. Follow-up, most homeowners I talk to have foundation issues sush as cracks and leaks, looks like another Minto Avalon @ Innes Rd. situation to occur further down the road... Buyer beware.

Very nice new homes in Manotick

The worst quality management and service I have ever had and I own 5 homes. Minto does not care about their customers as long as they got their money. We have paid close to $1M dollars for our home. Minto notified us of the occupancy delay 7 days before closing date. We had to take over in the middle of January and my wife delivered the baby in February. It was very stressful and unfair to treat your customers this way. Once we took over the house we had no countertops, sinks, missing bricks, horrible paint job, all the framing looked like the house is 20 years old. The list goes on and on. Minto didn't take any responsibility and ignored us since February 2022. As of today most of the issues are still outstanding and all the scheduled trades are no show!!! All the trades that showed up made things worse. DON'T BUY A HOUSE in this community even though Manotick is a beautiful place to live. Minto is selling you a dream home that they can't deliver.

Great service. Friendly staff. Wish homebuyers join and form a Google/ Facebook/WhatsApp community to share thoughts and concerns and anything else to make Mahogany our new home. It will be good to know our future neighbors.

Writing this review to appreciate and thank the Minto Warranty team, especially Dylan and Daniel, great guys, always willing to help with a smile in whatever they can to make new homeowners feel comfortable, thank you!

Recommendation - don't provide a review until you've moved in. Nice neighborhood and location.Once they have your money they really don't care; have to fight tooth and nail for anything and everything. Unresponsive consistently.Beyond abysmal customer service. Would never buy another Minto home again.
