East Gate Chinese Restaurant
Had friends over but didn't have time to cook so we ordered a variety of dishes for take-out. Food was good, a Canadian used version of Chinese food, which is what we wanted. Fed 5 adults (mostly seniors) for under $70 which I think is reasonable. Definitely keeping their menu on hand for future orders.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at East Gate and I must say it was a fantastic experience! The food was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of authentic Chinese dishes that catered to different tastes. From the flavorful Kung Pao chicken to the mouthwatering Cantonese chow mein, every dish was prepared with great care and expertise. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were spot-on.The restaurant itself had a pleasant ambiance, with a comfortable and clean interior. The staff was friendly and attentive, providing excellent service throughout the meal. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered helpful suggestions.I was also impressed with the portion sizes, as they were generous and left me feeling satisfied. The prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity of food provided.Overall, I highly recommend this Chinese restaurant to anyone looking for an enjoyable dining experience. The combination of delicious food, friendly service, and inviting atmosphere make it a go-to spot for Chinese cuisine. I will definitely be returning in the future. Five stars all the way !

East Gate Chinese Restaurant
I've been here a few times and while the staff is friendly enough, the food can be inconsistent. The restaurant is rarely busy at lunch time, so time isn't a factor when vegetables seem undercooked or rice is stale. The value as far as the amount of food for one's money is good, but quality is hit or miss. Dinner service might be better, but I've only been here at lunchtime.

Not a bad place for Chinese food. Place is clean, price is okay and food is okay. You have to go there to see if it's to your liking. The food wasn't too salty or too bland but for us, it was just okay.

Decided to try this restaurant for the first time. Got take-out and spent $148 for our order. Got home and found that they had forgotten the sweet and sour wontons. Egg drop soup was passable. Egg rolls okay. Fried rice was tasteless. Orange chicken was good. Chicken chop suey was very watery and had zero taste. Egg Foo Young was burnt and had so little sauce that it was like eating a burnt egg. Battered shrimp was batter and I wondered how the shrimp had somehow escaped the process. The remaining items were to say the least, disappointing. Staff was friendly when we ordered and the restaurant looked very clean, however the food ensured that the first visit here, would be our last.

Very delicious food. Large portion sizes at an inexpensive price. We are very pleased with the service and quality of food and will be coming back! You could definitely get away with under $15 per person but we over ordered with three different meat dishes and it still came out to only around $25 per person and we were all stuffed. The establishment is pristine in terms of cleanliness. Definitely one of the cleanest restaurants we’ve dined in. They also have many items on the menu so that anyone could find something to eat.

This place is very nice and very clean inside. Waiter was very pleasant and accomdating.I will say it is exceptionally clean.The food portions are generous, had the wonton soup which tasted excellent and the wontons tasted fresh, also had the beef Shanghai noodles; the noodles were tender and the dish had flavour however, the beef tasted a little off to me, I ended up putting that off to the side. Not saying it was bad, but it didn't taste right to me.All in all this is a decent Chinese restaurant with good selections and a nice atmosphere.Value is good, appetizer and entree $22 plus tip and I did leave full.
