Mount Carmel Bible College

This place has helped change my life. It has taught me how to actually live out the faith, and not keep everything as head knowledge. It's made me humble and learn how to live, rather than place myself above other people.

Hearing about Mount Carmel, I always knew it was a good school but I didn’t expect it to change my life as much as it did! Mount Carmel gave me the opportunity to build my faith and be who I really am. Definitely worth it for anyone who want to learn how to make their faith their own and be supported through that.

This was probably the most influential 8 months of my life, spending time with Christians my age, each of us going in the direction of making our faith stronger. The staff made it their number one priority to make meaningful relationships with the students, they were always there for me, pushing me forward into a deeper relationship with God.I couldn’t recommend this place enough!

This year at Mount Carmel has definitely been the best experience of my life. Between the friendliness of everyone and everything I have learnt this 8 months. Definitely 5 Stars!!

This past year at Mount Carmel was an amazing experience for me. All the staff are so kind, and God’s love really flows through them to each student. All the instructors genuinely care for and take an interest in each student. I was always able to talk to the instructors after class if I had any questions. If we ever needed more time on an assignment, they were always so understanding and more than willing to give us an extension and help us out.The staff’s lives also modelled for us what is means to live with Christ as the centre of your life, and what that looks like in your day-to-day life. I really appreciated that the staff’s doors were also always open if we ever wanted to talk with them about anything.Through continuous prayer from the staff, I really saw Jesus at work in our community. His love was so evident throughout the school year in the students and staff. At Mount Carmel I found a community that was very caring, and made each of us feel very loved and welcomed. The trips that we went on were also so much fun. We had an amazing time on each trip and have wonderful memories to look back on.During my year at Mount Carmel I grew in my faith a lot. I learned so much about Scripture and about God’s character. What I learned here will continue to help strengthen my faith journey for the rest of my life.The service that I did with Mount Carmel was a great experience. Especially the short missionary trip that we did up north. We were able to meet such wonderful kids and just share God’s love with them through spending time with them. They enjoyed it so much, and it taught me a lot about how worth it it is to give of yourself to others.I would definitely recommend Mount Carmel to anyone who wants to go to Bible College, or anyone who’s unsure what to do for their gap year. It’s definitely worth it. The community becomes like family, and they’re always there for you, even long after your time as a student there is over. You build Christ-centred friendships that you’ll have for life.

I really loved Carmel. The staff are so amazing. Before the year even starts they are praying for you. And all throughout the year they are praying for you. And long after the year ends the staff will continue praying for you. The staff at Carmel have a deep love for God and their love for God is so visible. It spills out into their lives. The staff are always happy and always around to lend a helping hand or a listening ear.If you are looking to attend a gap year program I would highly suggest Mount Carmel. They are intentionally small, my class only had 17 student total. And the amount of time spent learning, serving, and bonding as a group is amazing.(Also the amount of free food you get in the first few weeks and all throughout the year is amazing.)Update:Carmel isn't just a one year program, it's a community for life.

As the founder, owner, and CEO I fully recommend the chicken chowder recipe off the menu. It is a true delight. Our chef, James Mcarthy Jr. Makes all of our dishes fresh in house

Going to Mount Carmel is one of the best experiences of my life. I have grown as a person since going and I was and still am blessed by my teachers and classmates. The staff showed us love and kindness everyday of the year and I honestly count them all as friends. They made classes fun and interesting and also helped to show us the deeper meanings behind the bible and how to live our lives as people who reflect Jesus. I have learned so much about faith and what it really means to follow Jesus with my whole life. The year was full of laughter, learning, and growth as a group. I am thankful for my time spent there.
