if you had 0 stars that would be too high. this is a scam taking money from seniors.. the government should close them down. they do nothing you save no money and they bill you for no services. try to get someone on the phone for helpyou get the runaround. do not recommend them to anyone ....senior got scammed didn't have a way to check BBB where they are listed as very negative. Help your senior friends who got tricked.

Horrible. Sales person started off by saying she wasn't trying to sell me something and that she works to see if I'm overpaying on PG&E and that they work with PG&E to lower our rates. She had me sign a couple of things to ensure" that it was okay for them to lower my rates. I got an email a couple hours later with a 15 page PDF stating that I had voluntarily switched providers when I never wanted to switchI should have been suspicious when the salesperson didn't have any business cards or flyers to give me. Luckily I canceled the next day but they were so misleading and did not provide me a chance to read the whole contract. They just added my initials to something else I had signed for during the process."

They offered a lower price than peco I’m like cool signed up . My utility bill was 2.5*-3 times what I normally pay. After 3 months I cancelled. Apparently they charge a$502.50 cancellation fee. Ridiculous.

SFE Energy is a terrible company, they make you sign a contract and will charge you $800 if you cancel it. Also, they will not adjust your rate no matter how much lower you can get it with someone else. Don't sign up with them. NRG has a much lower rate and is much better, you don't need to sign a contract with them and if the rate goes down they will adjust it.

SCAM. They misrepresent themselves to get you into a contract.A woman came to my door saying SFE was a partner of my electric provider (this is true) and that she just wanted to verify that my rates were going to go up and that this was just a routine check-up." She asked to see my electric bill

This is the most terrible experience I had. It is impossible to reach the commercial department. Our old contract expired a year ago and they started charging us unnormal rate". When we were going to change the supplier they wanted to renew the contract

Same as everyone else here. Door salesman showed up saying they work as partners with my current supplier and they want to lock our rate in. No mention whatsoever that we would be paying their rate PLUS our original suppliers rate. What they should say is hey, do you want to pay TWICE for your s***? @#$% no. And I didn't even sign up! I gave them my info for them to make sure IF they can lock in my rate"I'll be looking into a class action lawsuit for false claims and signing me up to a contract under false presence"

Who are they? Scammers. Stay away from them but if they do scam you, then fight to get your money back. Feel free to read on and get details of my story.We moved out of California in the beginning of Aug 2022. I received an account closure notice from SFE Energy dated Aug. 30, 2022. For being a first bill ever from SFE Energy, it stated to pay $254.04 by Sep 14, 2022 to prevent collections. Upon calling SFE Energy they couldn't locate the account after providing them the customer ID number, agreement number, name or address listed on the bill. I informed her it was a scam as PG&E was our electric company but would happily pay the $44.04 gas charge if SFE Energy could prove the bill was valid and we were a customer but I would definitely not be paying the $210 in cancellation fees. She took my information and said she would send the account in for review and someone would get back to me in 5-7 business days.My husband paid the bill to avoid the collections threat. SFE Energy never called back. I sent them a letter in Nov. 2022 informing them that failure to respond to my inquiry within two weeks would result in a complaint being filed with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). On the 14th day I received a response via email, which was interesting since that information wasn't provided in the letter. They informed me they were looking into my inquiry and would get back to me. Then they proceeded to give me the run around. After several stall tactics I told them I was going to the BBB if I wasn't refunded as I had provided them with proof of current address. They finally sent a reimbursement check in Jan. 2023 for the $210 cancellation fee and thanked me for being a valued customer. SFE Energy didn't prove that I was a customer and they didn't reimburse the $44.04 gas charge. It took almost 6 months but I did receive the bulk of the money back.

It is completely unacceptable what this company does. They represented that they were just putting in a complaint to PG&E regarding the rate since it's not allowed to be above a certain amount, and that it was just a routine thing they do every so often. They had me sign & said it was just to verify my contact info, and then when they left I got a signed contract in my email stating I signed up for service with them, which I was expressly told I was not doing.

THIS IS A SCAM!!! I am still trying to find a way to cancel it. They only have 1 number, which I have currently waitting online for more than 1 hour and no one picked my fXXXing phone yet!!!! and they dont accept email canclation. They lied that they are from my power supply company and everyone need to sign for the thing. They are stealing your information to sign things. I find they because I realized that my bill has increase for more than 2-3 times in the past 2 months for no reason. All the data shows I use less gas and electricity in the past 2 monthes, and the bill is 2-3 times than usually!!!Save your money, time, and Mental Health and ask they to leave!!
