Nice place to buy knifes, but do not get your knives sharpened their. They completely ground the edge of my knife off, i don’t know what made them think it was okay to send it out afterwards, I can rub it against my arm and it just feels real dull. I now have to pay more money for someone to grind a new edge on, or I might have to purchase a new knife now. Save your money and go somewhere else to get your knife sharpened

We just got our kitchen knife sharpened for the last time at this location. You can see a wavy pattern on the knife edge near the handle and the bolster has not been shortened to meet the edge of the blade. This is one of the shoddiest knife sharpenings I have ever seen. I do not recommend to anyone who cares about the condition and longevity of their knives.

Just got 3 knives sharpened at the Pine Centre Mall location (May 2, 2021). I sharpen my own knives but simply am not good enough to get them as sharp as House of Knives did. Great job! I highly recommend them!

This store used to be my go-to for knife sharpening, when Evan worked there. He really knew his stuff.This week, I left my EDC CRKT Pilar in to have the edge repaired. The guy that did the sharpening did a terrible job. He rolled the edge pretty bad a d rounded the tip so much that it's not even pointy anymore.Please, train your staff better or get people people that don't just phone it in.I'm disgusted with this lack of care, and his attitude was equally bad. He pretty much just shrugged.I'm not impressed at all.

Brought in my knife for sharpening on a monday and was told it would be done by Tuesday so i let them know ill be able to pick it up by Wednesday and when i went in they hadn't even started on it. They told me it would be done in an hour so i wated a hour and a half and it still wasn't done. When i finally got my knife 2 hours later it was dull and had a terrible new" edge to it. Would not recommend."

Excellent staff, very kind and were apologetic about the order mix-up that happened with another location. That deserves a star.I ordered a knife that was in stock in Vancouver, I called and checked in on the third week since it was supposed to take 1-3 weeks to ship. I was reassured and told I would get a call when it came in when I contacted the store. When I came in today to follow up I learned it wasn't shipped and is no longer available.I'd add one more star to the review if HoK had access to more brands and minus one due to the ordering system from other locations.

Had a couple of knives sharpened there . Very nicely done. Gentleman in the a.m. dropped some knowledge on me too for sharpening angle my japanese steel, as I've tried to sharpen my own at home to no good effect...yet!

Took my Shuns in for a sharpening and tip repair on one. Great job. If in doubt ask for Max. I've only been in there a couple of times so the other staff may also be great. This was my first time getting my beloved knives done and very happy with the results. Also found that Max was very knowledgeable and personable. Very nice guy. Great service and I will go back for sure.

I would have left zero stars, since I was completely ignored twice in one day and received no service at all. I have been a repeat customer in the Prince George location, and it had been fine, helpful service. This visit I did not even get a greeting or an acknowledgement, by either of the two employees. There was only one other customer at the time.

Went to get my knife sharpened as there was a spot I needed to get grinded down a bit. Told the person that's what I wanted and when I got my knife back it wasn't done. When I asked why, the guy said in a demeaning way oh that's not what you want
