I gave birth to my daughter in December 2021 and struggled with breastfeeding for various reasons. I had almost given up on breastfeeding until I connected with Nav in January 2022. I knew her as a pediatric nurse and was happy to hear she was also a lactation consultant. Nav is a true professional who is thorough in asking all the necessary questions and being patient when you don't have all the information readily available. She is very knowledgeable in her expertise and can communicate information in a manner that is easy to understand. In my opinion, she goes one step further to share information that is relevant to you rather than regurgitate generic lactation info. Nav worked with me on a plan to restart my breastfeeding journey and provided continuous support. She went above and beyond during her in-person session to support me and my daughter and suggest ways we can both be comfortable. I would definitely recommend Nav to anyone who is pregnant and considering breastfeeding (I wish I had done before I gave birth) and anyone who has given birth and needs support with breastfeeding. Nav is truly amazing at what she does!

I had thought breastfeeding was going great after leaving the hospital but then my daughter stopped having wet diapers. I was desperate and contacted Nav to help establish breastfeeding. She fit me in her busy schedule and came for a home visit the next day. Nav is so knowledgeable and was so patient with us. She helped me figure out more comfortable positioning and optimized my daughter’s latch. Nav followed up with an email after the visit with all of the suggestions she made. I highly recommend Nav if you need breastfeeding support!!

I used Nav at Mama Llama when I was post partum with my second baby. She was such a huge help! Not only was she kind, friendly, compassionate and understanding, she was extremely well educated, knowledgeable and thorough when helping me with learning to breastfeed for the second time. I first met Nav in January 2022 when I hired her as a lactation consultant when my daughter was just a few days old. I was really struggling with breastfeeding for the first time and Nav was great at addressing my issues and using her knowledge to provide some recommendations in order to improve. I really appreciated her calm and nurturing energy during this stressful time.During this consultation I also learned that Nav worked as a doula, so when it came time for my wedding on September 1st, 2022, she came to mind when I was trying to find a caregiver to look after my now 7 month old throughout the day at the event. Given that all family and friends would be attending the wedding and we wanted to make sure everyone was able to enjoy the event as a guest, I knew I wanted to hire a professional with the main task of looking after our baby throughout the day since we would be too busy to attend to her constant needs like diaper changes and feedings. Thinking back to my great experience with Nav as a lactation consultant, I immediately thought of her for the job. As a first time mom, I find it very difficult to leave my baby under the care of someone else, but with Nav I immediately felt at ease that my baby was in good hands. She arrived on time, was at our side throughout the day when we needed assistance with the baby during photos, speeches, etc., and took initiative to ensure that my daughter was content and had everything she needed during a busy day that was outside of my baby's regular routine and comfort zone. She put her down for regular naps throughout the day, fed her, and put her to bed in the evening all while sending me text updates to ensure I was in the loop with everything going on. At one point in the evening I went up to check on my baby (there was a separate room at the venue to ensure she had a quiet place to sleep) and she was sound asleep with Nav close by incase there were any issues or if she woke up. It was so great to know that my baby was so content and in good hands so that my husband and I could enjoy the evening with our guests. Our baby felt so comfortable with Nav even though she was technically a stranger, and I know this was because of Nav's calm and nurturing energy. Nav made what could have been one of the most stressful parts of our wedding day stress free and we will forever be grateful to her because of this. I would highly recommend her services to anyone in need of lactation or infant care support.

I’ve had recurrent blocked milk ducts over the past few months. The first time it happened, Nav immediately recommended ways to remedy the situation over the phone and came for a home visit within 24 hours. Since then, she has continued to check in on me and connect me with other health care providers when needed. I would recommend her to anyone looking for support nursing.

Hands down, the best support a new mom could ask for. I was unsuccessfully with BF with my first two babies so I was determined to make it happen third time around - thanks to Navi, I had all the support I could’ve asked for to reach my goals.

I received thorough and comprehensive strategies from Nav about evening out my milk supply in each breast after my son was sleep trained. She left no stone unturned and was compassionate and supportive. She helped give me confidence. She provided me with detailed notes of everything we discussed. Within two days, my milk was flowing and I was so happy. I’d highly recommend to moms, new breast feeders and old. It never hurts to have extra support from an expert who is also a mama herself.
